HTC Merge/Lexicon Hands-On Video

It feels like we know almost everything about this newest device- it supports Bing in all of its forms, has Android 2.2 ported on the device and the unlucky fact of it that it will not gain the latest version of HTC Sense, which is available on such...

HTC Merge (U.S. Cellular) review

Since the HTC Merge is one of the few CDMA world phones in the U.S., it's fitting we first heard of the Android 2.2 slider at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, before picking it up for a closer look a few months later at CTIA .

The HTC Merge has a SIM card slot for international roaming, a nice camera with HD video capture and playback, and some premium design touches.

The QWERTY slider on the HTC Merge wasn't the easiest to use and we've experienced better keyboards. Call quality was sometimes disappointing on our roaming calls.

The HTC Merge is a decent Android smartphone for U.S. Cellular, but its heft and stubborn slider could turn some away.

HTC Merge (U.S. Cellular)

If you want to take the Merge abroad, you're going to have to roll your own service plan. Many people would consider that a plus: arranging for your own SIM card is almost always much cheaper than paying roaming rates. If you don't want to struggle...

True world phone. Excellent QWERTY keyboard. Quality feel all around

Heavy. Stubborn microSD card slot located underneath the battery cover

The Merge may weigh down your pants pocket a bit, but the phone's high-end design, excellent QWERTY keyboard, and good overall performance are compelling.

Bulky ; Lack of secondary camera ; Older version of Android OS ; Very expensive

The overallHTC Merge Reviewsays that this handset is a mixed bag of positives and negatives. Inspite of being so, features like HD capture, playback, premium design and a nice camera makes the HTC Merge a nice phone to have. If you are expecting...

The White Whale of Android smartphones finally emerges on a handful of regional carriers There's something quite satifying about the HTC Merge on US Cellular. Maybe it's the sleek design. Maybe it's ...

We've said it a few times throughout this review: The HTC Merge really isn't top of the line anymore. And some would argue that even when it looked like it was going to launch in the fall of 2010, it already was slipping behind. And you know what?...

"NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS"

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS PHONE. IT HAS GIVEN ME NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND OF COURSE THEY STARTED RIGHT AFTER I COULD NOT JUST EXCHANGE THE PHONE SO NOW I AM STUCK WITH IT UNTIL TIME FOR AN UPGRADE. IT HAS COMPLETELY TURNED ME AWAY FROM ANDROIDS. I REFUSE...

DURABILTY AND SIZE ARE GREAT

CANNOT FIND CASES FOR THE PHONE. IT FREEZES ALL THE TIME. I EVENTUALLY HAD TO HAVE IT COMPLETELY RESET TO FACTORY SPECS BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT EVEN LOAD THE HOME SCREENS. I COULD NOT USE MY PHONE AT ALL.
