Honor 6 Plus

Honor is the sister brand of ascending Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Huawei, and its new flagship phone, the Honor 6 Plus, is the brand's first real statement of intent in the UK and Europe.

Solid construction ; Capable camera ; Excellent value ; Solid battery life ; Great screen

Minor performance lag ; May be a touch chunky for some

Honor 6+ review

All the tech ingredients are there for a great budget phone, but does it have the quality to match the very best?

Big, sharp screen ; Good camera ; Reasonable price

Poor sound ; Tacky build

You get a lot of phone for your money, but it’s not all good

Huawei Honor 6 Plus review

Big screen, even bigger battery

Great screen ; Gigantic battery, decent stamina ; High-end design touches ; Loads of storage

So-so camera ; Dated CPU ; Quirky software

It doesn’t have bleeding edge tech, but strong stamina and a big, bold screen win us over

Honor 6 Plus review

Can Huawei better their P8 and Ascend G7 phones with Honor?

Great screen ; Long battery life ; Sleek design ; 3GB Ram ; Appealing price ; 4G, NFC

Horrible UI ; Stuck on Android 4.4.2 ; Same gaming lag ; No Qi or quick charge tech ; So-so snapper

For the appealing price of £299.99, Honor's 6 Plus packs a great screen, solid build and a snapper that mostly get the job done. If the UI was up to scratch and Lollipop was around to complete the package, this could be one of the best mid-range...

Honor 6 Plus 5.5in smartphone review

Honor has partnered with Three to bring this excellent mid-range smartphone to the UK market, and we think it's one to watch.

For anyone looking for a smartphone with a large screen, the Honor 6 Plus is absolutely worth considering. It has great specs, a good-looking and sleek design and a cool camera, all at a surprisingly low price.

Honor 6 Plus review

The Honor 6 Plus has a great screen, decent battery life and a flexible camera, but Huawei's Emotion UI prevents it from being truly great

However, the biggest flaw is that the phone is stuck with both Android 4.4.2 and Huawei's divisive Emotion UI, which makes it feel very old-fashioned. The notification and shortcuts menu are still separated into two panels (which annoyingly always...

Huawei Honor 6 Plus review: A great, affordable phone with outdated software

A big screen and a solid camera make the Honor 6 Plus a great mid-range phone, but its outdated software seriously lets it down.

The Huawei Honor 6 Plus' big, bold screen is great for video, its processor handles most tasks well and its camera takes shots that are ideal for Facebook.

It's running a version of Android several iterations out of date and the custom interface on top makes the phone not only awkward to use, but also often sluggish to navigate.

With its good screen, strong processor and solid camera, the Honor 6 Plus is well-equipped for most all the social-networking fun you could want and doesn't ask for much cash in return. It's a shame about its clunky, outdated software, though, which...

Honor 6 Plus review: Hands-on with new Honor smartphone

The Honor 6 Plus is bigger than its Honor 6 sibling, with a 5.5in screen rather than the 5in screen (we're not sure how Apple will feel about the name, particularly considering that the 5.5in screen size matches that of the iPhone 6 Plus, as do the...

An Honor Handset : Huawei Honor 6+

As part of the Huawei family of offerings, the Honor 6+ is a 5.5-inch smartphone. This is a dual SIM device. However this feature can come at a cost elsewhere but more on this facet a little later. The Honor 6+ is available in a choice of black, white...

At its launch, the Honor 6+ had a price tag of £299.99. However checking the Amazon.co.uk website revealed that this handset is currently listed at £266.00. However I would suggest waiting to see when Huawei come through the promised Android update.
