Huawei M835 (MetroPCS)

The Huawei M835 is one of the worst budget-priced Android phones we've tested in some time.

Svelte design. Inexpensive for an Android smartphone.

Very slow. Terrible camera. Low resolution screen makes for blurry fonts and poor third-party app compatibility. Short battery life.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions Multimedia performance doesn’t fare much better. The microSD card slot is buried behind the battery, which makes it difficult to swap. Huawei throws in a 2GB microSD card to get you started; my own 32GB SanDisk card...

Huawei M835 Ideos - black (MetroPCS) review

If it's a small and simple smartphone you're looking for, the Huawei M835 may fit the bill. The very petite handset is the T-Mobile Comet rebranded, also known globally as the Huawei Ideos . The phone runs the stock Android 2.2 Froyo experience,...

The Huawei M835 runs on stock Android 2.2 Froyo and accepts up to 32GB external storage.

The Huawei M835's 2.8-inch screen is too small for our liking, the camera could be better, and the performance lagged. Battery life was also short.

While it certainly isn't our top pick, the Huawei M835 is one of MetroPCS' least expensive Android phones.

It's a Mini Huawei Ascend with a better camera.

If you like the Ascend, you'll like the M835 except for the screen.

Contrary to popular belief, Metro PCS DOES have 3G service, it's just limited, but has been expanding recently. I rooted mine and have been able to get the processor to run at 650 mhz and got rid of the bloatware, so it runs faster than normal.

SLOW! If you root it, it runs faster, but you run the risk of ruining the phone (like that's really possible). The Metro bloatware takes up half of what little memory is on the device(it only registers 167 mb), not much space for apps. TINY screen.

This really is a horrible phone. It doesn't hold a charge very long and it is extremely slow; I wish I had done more research before this purchase.
