LG Fathom (Verizon Wireless) review: LG Fathom (Verizon Wireless)

Despite the imminent release of Windows Phone 7 , Microsoft is showing no sign of stopping development of Windows Mobile 6.5 devices. The latest phone to join the Windows Mobile family is the LG Fathom. The Fathom runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and is one...

The LG Fathom is solidly constructed with a bright display and a roomy QWERTY keyboard. It comes with Windows Mobile 6.5.3, and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It supports CDMA and GSM networks for use worldwide.

The LG Fathom's resistive touch-screen display is not as intuitive as we would like. We also noticed slight sluggishness with its accelerometer and image refresh rate. The LG Fathom's bulky exterior might not be for everyone.

The LG Fathom is a well-built Windows Mobile phone with plenty of features, but its occasional lapse in performance can be annoying.

Well-built device with a good QWERTY keyboard and decent battery life

Windows Mobile makes the device a bit sluggish; resistive touchscreen isn't the greatest in the accuracy department

The Fathom is a decent mid-range smartphone, and is even better for those that travel internationally on a regular basis.

Review: LG Fathom

The LG Fathom uses a fast processor and speedy 802.11n networking with the aging Windows Mobile OS. Is this a proper ride into the sunset for Microsoft's business system? Find out in our LG Fathom review.

LG Fathom for Verizon Wireless Review

In today's cell phone marketplace, there hasn't been a lot of room for Windows Mobile. Here in the United States, it's almost a forgotten mobile Operating System. That's no fault of Microsoft's, as in the popular world it would seem that they've been...

To tell the truth, I am voiceless. The Shawshank Redemption is wonderful. I am quite young film fan, in point of fact, this film appeared the same yearI was very young, and thence I am more used to films with astounding special effects,...

LG Fathom Review - Smartphone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

Verizon has an impressive smartphone lineup-- from the capable HTC Touch Pro2 to the Moto Droid and Palm Pre Plus, if you want it, it seems they've got it (as long as it's not an iPhone you're after). And that's the LG Fathom's biggest problem;...

World roaming, first phone with the .3 release of Windows Mobile 6.5, solid build, decent keyboard, GSM overseas capability, good speed ;

Boring, dated and stylus-centric UI. Clunky looking, lacks the exciting new operating systems or custom UIs of other smartphones on Verizon

If the stars are in perfect alignment and you need a Verizon world phone, love plain old Windows Mobile and need a hardware keyboard, then the LG Fathom could be for you. It's fast and stable, the build is sturdy and the display is sharp, though small....

Not unlocked at all...

This phone is supposed to be and was advertised as unlocked but it is not and it ruined a christmas present for my son. It is assigned to Verizon and cannot be unlocked by them. I was actually referred to craig's list to find "someone" to unlock it....
