Motorola MOTOFONE F3

Is an electrophoretic screen, very long battery life and a low price, enough to make the F3 an attractive choice?

Motorola MotoFone F3 review

Motorola's MotoFone F3 is the cheapest phone in the group, and definitely the most unusual. It's a stripped-down mobile, with no extras such as a web browser or MP3 player. It's designed just for making calls and sending texts.

Motorola Motofone F3

The F3 is cheap, frills-free and has an extraordinary battery life - but does it take simplification too far?

Screen is easy to read. Slim profile. Amazing battery life

Awkward operating system. Lettering so big texts are hard to read

The F3 is cheap, frills-free and has an extraordinary battery life – but does it take simplification too far?

The F3 is very cheap, looks good and has a monstrous battery life – but the brow-furrowing, overcomplicated menus let it down

Motorola Motofone F3 e-ink handset

Spiritual successor to Motorola's budget C113 handset, the new 'Motofone' F3 has clearly been designed with developing markets and the more technophobic among us in mind.

Motorola MOTOFONE F3

The Motorola MOTOFONE F3 is a budget phone that simply makes calls and sends SMS messages. There is no music playback, no camera and no Bluetooth. Thi...

Value for money, voice prompt assistance, very easy to use, hands-free speakerphone, new display technology

Only two lines of display, no predictive text input

The MOTOFONE is a breakthrough product in the mobile phone market, and is an excellent option for anyone looking for a handset to simply do the basics. At this price, it's a clear winner.

Motorola MOTOFONE F3 review: Budget wonder

Motorola Fone F3 or Motofone is a unique mobile device. It unites the latest modern trends, on one hand, and a very basic functional menu, on the other.

modern slim design ; good keypad ; solid construction ; high contrast display with large font ; long lasting battery ; voice help ; alarm clock ; very basic functions ; extremely low price

segmented display – only six letters in line ; certain characters and symbols are difficult to read ; does not make difference between upper and lower case letters ; some basic characters are not possible to type ; uneven backlighting of the display...

Backlighting is of worse quality. It is heavily uneven, being the strongest under the lowest key line. The rest of the keypad is illuminated in dazed white. When the phone is moved, one can see how fast backlighting twinkles. However, this does not...

Motorola MOTOFONE F3

For its target market -- budget users and those who don't want bells and whistles -- the MOTOFONE is an excellent phone option. Those who require more pizzazz will quickly grow irked at its shortcomings, however.

Simple operation ; Stylish design ; Cheaper than many phone plans

Not just feature-poor; more like feature-destitute ; Battery takes a long time to charge

There's no doubting that there's a whole market out there that would hate the MOTOFONE for its lack of high-end features, but that's not the market that Motorola's after with the impressively simple MOTOFONE. For what it is, and what it sets out to be,...

Motorola MOTOFONE F3 - Hands On

Motorola MOTOFONE F3 has been launched in India last week for a cut price of Rs. 1650. This makes it one of the best phones in its class for the features as well as the price. My belief is that, this phone is just going to kill the competition with the...

Motorola FONE F3 Review

The Motorola F3 or Motofone is not the most advanced mobile phone out there. It will only appeal to those in need of a basic device for communicating with friends and family members.
