Nokia 5700 XpressMusic

It's geared towards the music fan, but is that swivelling control pad more than just a gimmick?

Nokia - 5700 XpressMusic

In these days when almost every mobile phone plays music, you have to wonder why Nokia bothers with its XpressMusic range. For a mobile phone that is identified by its name as focussing on music playback, ...

The twisting section is an interesting quirk, and while using it one-handed can be something of a challenge, it is rather fun. But we can't really say that the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic is a particularly special handset with regard to music playback.

B ir süredir Nokia'nın piyasadan yavaş yavaş çekildiği fikrine kapılmak üzereydik. Firmanın piyasaya sürdüğü modellerin hepsi birbirine benzer özellikler içeriyordu ve ilgi çekici gelişmeler göze çarpmıyordu. Fakat anlaşılan o ki Nokia'nın...

Nokia 5700

The Nokia 5700 is another step towards development of XpressMusic and it's a consistent step, the company isn't looking to come up with a powerhouse in short term, instead, it keeps improving this direction little by little. The major event around the...

Remember all those gripes with the Nokia 3250, when vast majority of users, to put it softly, came out unsatisfied with the bundled earphones, as for a music-minded phone they left much to be desired. Strange? There are heavier words for this occasion....

Nokia 5700 XpressMusic Review

The Nokia 5700 combines the look of the 5300 and the form of the 3250, but it has a lot more features than either of those two. So what's it like?

The Nokia 5700 is a Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1 smartphone. It's being sold under the XpressMusic sub-brand, which emphasises music and multimedia playback.

The 5700 XpressMusic's design is convenient and its music capabilities are well implemented, but isn't perfect.

3G, twist design, dedicated music buttons, sound quality, 3.5mm headphone jack, drag-and-drop capabilities

Interface lag, a little chunky, stubborn joystick and rubber menu button, battery life could be improved

Nokia 5700 review: Smart performer

It seems that music phones are becoming an increasingly important part of every company's portfolio. It's therefore no surprise that a lot of effort is put in developing such devices, which explains the constantly improving functionality and...

Fast and responsive user interface ; Excellent display, with unmatched legibility under direct sunlight ; Great earphones ; Symbian S60 3rd edition FP1 ; Sporty, youthful design ; The swiveling part is well-built and very functional

Awkward joystick ; Weak bass ; Bizarre Menu and C keys ; No Pencil key ; No built-in 3.5mm jack

The retail package we got the phone with was quite well equipped. Alongside a 1 GB microSD memory card, there's a wired remote serving as an adapter for plugging the included 3.5mm earphones into the phone's 2.5 mm jack. The earphones turned out quite...

Nokia Xpress Music 5700 review: Nokia Xpress Music 5700

The Nokia 5700 Xpress Music offers a user-friendly design, an impressive array of features, and admirable call and music quality.

Some of the Nokia 5700 Xpress Music's controls were difficult to use and its photo quality was disappointing. Also, it doesn't support a U.S. 3G band.

The Nokia 5700 Xpress Music cell phone continues the trend set by the Nokia 5300, offering a satisfying combination of features, performance, and design.
