Samsung Glyde SCH-U940 (Verizon Wireless) review

Ever since we first played with the Samsung F700 last year at CTIA, we've been waiting for it to come to America. And starting today, it finally has arrived on our shores--at least in a way. The new Samsung Glyde SCH-U940 for Verizon Wireless offers...

The Samsung Glyde offers great call quality, a broad selection of features, and a full alphabetic keyboard.

The Samsung Glyde's display is too small to do its touch interface justice. Also, the photo quality is poor, and the e-mail support isn't easy to use.

The Samsung Glyde is a powerful cell phone with decent performance, but its touch-screen design and controls don't complement its features.

Samsung Glyde SCH-U940

Samsung's Glyde brings a touch screen and keyboard to Verizon.

Narrow body. Full Web browser. Good QWERTY keyboard.

Somewhat quirky touch screen. No way to sync with PCs. Limited e-mail and IM.

Review: Samsung GLYDE

There's something undeniably sexy about touchscreen phones. It's probably the fact that using such an advanced interface for mundane tasks just oozes cool. But let's...

Sleek and compact design. Bluetooth compatible. Adjustable vibrating feedback for touch commands. Backlit QWERTY keypad is easy to see in the dark. Records up to 10-minutes of video. Speedy performance. Crisp call quality. Vibrant 240 x 440...

On-screen buttons near screen perimeter can be unresponsive. Automatically switches to landscape whenever the browser is opened. Weak speaker output during both multimedia playback and speakerphone calls. No on-screen QWERTY keyboard for texting. With...

Samsung Glyde Cell Phone Review

The Samsung Glyde cell phone offers something you find in relatively few cell phones these days: an integrated Qwerty keyboard. But is it worth the price? Keep reading to find out.

Now, if you decide to buy the phone separately, you can expect to pay as much as $499. So, if you don't have that kind of cash on hand, you should probably go ahead and take the Verizon Wireless deal. You'll have to sign a 2-year contract, but you'll...

Samsung Glyde Review

The Glyde is another of Samsung's entries into the quickly expanding touch-screen phone market. The phone's design combines a large touch-screen that looks and works a lot like that of the hugely popular iPhone

Since both the camera and the MP3 player's sound quality have their problems - especially for phones of this class - it's difficult to recommend the device wholeheartedly to users who enjoy a multipurpose gadget
