Asus ROG STRIX XG27VQ review

The Asus ROG STRIX XG27VQ treads a fine line between showmanship and useful functionality. The beautiful styling and head-turning details would be merely a veneer, if Asus hadn't got a very impressive display to mount inside this beast.

There are marginally cheaper 144Hz capable screens than this one, but they won't have the same visual impact as this one will create on your desk. Admittedly some of the more glitzy features aren't well considered, but you can deactivate them if they...

Asus ROG Strix XG27UQ 4K 144Hz Monitor Review: Faster Than Fast

Nearly perfect

Quickest 4K monitor we’ve tested ; Richly saturated color ; Dynamic Dimming effectively increases contrast ; Usable sRGB mode ; Good build quality

Expensive compared to other 144Hz 27-inchers

The Asus ROG Strix XG27UQ is one of the best gaming monitors we’ve tested, but you’ll need to pair it with a very capable PC to see its full capability. If you can, you’ll be rewarded with killer HDR, vibrant color and superb video processing. It...

Asus ROG Strix XG279Q Gaming Monitor Review: Speed and Style

Asus' ROG Strix XG279Q rocks our speed tests and delivers HDR with extended color.

170Hz ; FreeSync & G-Sync support ; Blur-reduction works with Adaptive Sync ; Excellent HDR ; High brightness ; Large color gamut

Slight ghosting in ELMB mode ; Default grayscale and gamma need adjustment

The Asus ROG Strix XG279Q needs a bit of tweaking to achieve the best possible image quality, but its gaming performance is at the premium level. Both G-Sync and FreeSync are available, working in concert with blur-reduction, along with 170Hz and HDR...

The ROG Strix XG27UQ is the best 4K, 144Hz monitor you can buy

Colorful and bright 4K panel ; 144Hz refresh rate ; HDR400 support ; Fast response time ; Nvidia G-Sync support

HDR automatically dims content ; No speakers ; Thick bezels

The Asus ROG Strix XG27UQ offers a gorgeous 4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a ridiculously fast response time.

ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ Review

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ is an excellent gaming monitor from ASUS's Republic of Gamers lineup. It's a refreshed version of the ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q, so the pan...

Good text clarity. Wide viewing angles. Exceptional color gamut. Low input lag. 170Hz refresh rate. Large screen with high resolution. Incredibly fast response time.

Black uniformity is only okay. Mediocre contrast ratio. May struggle with glare in really bright rooms. Not bright enough to make HDR highlights pop.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ is a great all-around monitor. Its high refresh rate, fast response time, low input lag, and VRR support make it an excellent choice for gaming. Its size and resolution are also well-suited to productivity and content...

Good ergonomics. Outstanding response time. 144Hz refresh rate. Good visibility in bright rooms. Outstanding SDR color gamut. Large screen and 4k resolution.

Images look washed out when viewed from the side. Mediocre contrast ratio. Terrible local dimming. Requires graphics card with DSC for 144Hz.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27UQ is a great monitor overall. It has a large 4k screen that makes it suitable for work, gaming, or media consumption. Gaming feels responsive due to its low input lag and high refresh rate, and it has a fast response time and a...

Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ 27" Monitor Review

Let's cut right to the chase. The Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ is a $350 gaming monitor, 27 inches in size, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. We're looking at a VA LCD panel here with FreeSync support, sporting an 1800R curvature.

Consumer review (very.co.uk)

Nice monitor.

Happy with my purchase, decent viewing angles and good choice of pre made colour options plus features like fps clock and crosshair etc. can also turn of the rgb affect if its not your cup of tea. Also the freesync works fine with my gtx 1060 6gb msi card.
