...but i have a screen saver loaded that comes on after 5 minutes of inactivity so i suspect that it comes on prior to the monitor going to 'sleep'. mine has no burned through pixels and excellent clarity and resolution, no distortion of video like i...

ASUS Monitors

 

The monitor would go to sleep and not wake up. Only way to get back was to reboot computer. After much searching, this is a known issue with Asus.
