This is JUST TO ADRESS THE SPEAKERS

All you dumb nuts who were complaining about the volume, look at the menu and turn up the volume on your monitor before going on about the speakers being so bad, i like them and they have replaced my old white speakers...thx newegg great service as usual.

After messing around with my Hanns-G menu, I found that the speakers at default volume with my desktop volume all the way up was only at 50% volume. If you go to the side of the monitor, (a very nice one) you can then maximize the volume to 100. PLENTY...

Menu could be in front, but im not complaining... =D

Surprisingly Nice Monitor

Bought the ASUS 19" at the same price for numerous builds (I build computers for folks as a hobby). Apparently, ASUS found out they were selling so many and jacked up the price. I'l stick with this monitor, now.

Very surprised at the brightness of this monitor! Easy to use controls, very plug-and-play friendly during installation. No dead pix's and packaged very well. Great buy for the price. I bought two, one for my son as an extended desktop for my his...

No HDMI. But then again, I expected that. The round base is a bummer, but only because I am used to the ASUS two leg style, and that's just me being picky

Worth the buy

The monitor also has some speakers that can be used as a backup which is a plus. Overall i am pleased with the monitor.

The price is affordable. The screen has 1440x900 resolution with 16:10 ratio and 75hz refresh which is excellent. No dead pixels or scratches. If you are looking to upgrade to widescreen now is the time

Had to pay for shipping and i had a few problems with delivery time from ups. The base of the stand is heavy and solid but the connection pieces make me a little nervous because they don't seem to sit in properly. No dvi input

Clear/Sharp

-I was hesitant with this buy b/c of it only having a VGA input. The Hannspree, Parent company of Hanns-G, Monitor 22" I bought from Bst-Buy a year ago did have vga and hdmi. The vga looked so/so but the hdmi looked sweet. Not the care here the vga...

Price of course ; Really great Picture. Sharp, Clean, Vibrant ; Stand is nice looking and sturdy ; No dead/stuck pixels. (though I dont mind 1 or 2 if there not close to each other, or dead center.)

Umm...It could always be bigger ; Seriously though None

great budget monitor!

for this price... don't expect to go to walmart or something and find a better deal. this is a great deal, and if your looking for a monitor at this price range, GET IT! great resolution ( not 720 like the other cheapies ), built in speakers, easy...

No dead pixels, great lookin picture and you can even add level 1 or 2 sharpness for even more of a crisp picture, has an awesome widescreen dimension that effects how i feel about it very much. for a 19" monitor, the widescreen on this makes it feel...

the sound just like most monitors with built in speakers aren't great, so aslong as your intentions aren't to blast music then it's fine. mines for the family use, so it's perfect. also the cd it comes with isn't really necessary, you do get an adobe...

Be wary of VGA only

It's a decent monitor for the price but again it doesn't have a DVI port so I can't really recommend this model.

The screen is large enough for multi-tasking. Looks sharp and clear most of the time

This monitor only has a VGA port. As a result, text doesn't look as pretty at times

VGA Only

For the nominal amount more, I would buy a monitor with a DVI connection.

Price, packaging and design

I have a Dell monitor next this one with DVI connections. I have yet to configure the Hanns G so the fonts appear clear without fuzzy edges. VGA Only is likely the culprit
