Despite disappointing fitness features, the U5 isn't a bad workout partner.

Tiny, lightweight. Built-in USB. FM radio and recorder. Voice recorder. Solid bundled earbuds.

Limited file support. Fitness features are weak.

The Samsung U5 is an inexpensive MP3 player with plenty of file format support, an above-average voice recorder, FM radio, an integrated USB stick, and a useful fitness program.

The U5 holds only 2GB of music, the screen is minuscule, and there's no support for AAC or Audible files.

If you're looking for a small, practical MP3 player to throw in your gym bag, the Samsung U5 is a great option that won't break the bank.

a very good product, good music,sound and radio

i bourght it because of it's claim that the battery lasted up to 18hr so imagain my shock while out on a marathon walk of 34hours to find that at the 71/2 hour point in radio mode it went dead the timing shown on the label needs to be more up front,

Great value and very versatile. Really like the user interface and the fact it runs FLAC files which alows me to access my domestic audio digital music archive. Has a great range of features for such a low priced Mp3 player and is perfect for jogging,...

Took a while to charge and the supplied headphones weren't up to much although I'd always planned to replace these with some JVC ear buds anyway [which work a treat!]. Can't think of any other negatives though.
