Epson Stylus Photo T50 inkjet printer

This dedicated Epson inkjet printer is good for photo and text duties, but home offices should look elsewhere

Great photo quality for its price, average text quality and high speeds

No scanning features, high ink replacement costs, no graphical interface

Epson's Stylus Photo T50 may not be a particularly feature-packed inkjet printer -- it has no colour screen and it's not a multifunction -- but when it comes to photographic printing it soundly beats similarly priced competitors. It's not the right...

Epson Stylus Photo T50

The T50 is a reasonably priced single-function printer that produces good photos and can handle CDs too, but the ongoing consumable costs and text quality let this inkjet down.

CD and DVD printing ; Nice quality photo prints ; Compact design

Plain text quality not great ; Cost of consumables is pretty steep ; No Windows 7/Snow Leopard support

The T50 is not a bad impulse buy if you want a capable photo printer that can also dabble in CD printing and the occasional document, but for presentation purposes, the text quality is not great. For a little more you can get a multifunction printer...

Epson Stylus Photo T50

Epson's T50 just squeaks in under the $200 mark at $199. It's also finished in piano black but is a little bulkier than the Canon iP3600.
