Lexmark X4550

Is the presense of wireless enough to make this Lexmark all-in-one a contender?

Lexmark X4550 Wireless All-In-One Printer

The X4550's big USP is the wireless connectivity, but what about its ability to offer decent prints? We get printing to find out how the X4550 performs. Before we look at the features offered by this printer, just consider why a Wi-Fi option might suit...

Wi-Fi printing, affordable

Slow, large

We haven't thoroughly researched Lexmark's claim that it's the most affordable Wi-Fi-enabled all-in-one printer on the market today, but with online offers showing the price as low as £64, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall, this...

Lexmark X4550 review

It might be wireless, but for usability the X4550 leaves much to be desired

Wi-Fi ; Quick mono printing

Expensive to run ; Slow colour printing ; No colour LCD

Wi-Fi is nice, but printing is poor

Lexmark X4550 review

Lexmark's X4550 is the only wireless model here, and, ironically, the only one that comes with a USB lead included.

Now if only it would run on batteries... WiFi is handy if you don't need top results.

Lexmark - X4550

A light all-in-one device, albeit one that still demands a reasonable desk footprint, Lexmark's X4550 is heavily targeting those with a wireless network in their home. That's down to one of its box-stated features being the ...

A decent device at a welcome price, but those who bank on their printing and scanning are advised to spend a little more.

Lexmark X4550 Wireless All-In-One

This AIO (all in one) product also has the ability to be totally hidden, not that it is ugly but ladies often decree no printers in the lounge so this can live in a cupboard somewhere without any wires trailing from the PC as it is wireless.

First the dimensions of the when closed but power lead and USB (if used) is plugged in 45x37x16cm. Now with paper stored in the rear vertical position and the output tray lowered these figures become 45x52x38cm that is the actual amount of desk,...

Lexmark X4550 all in one: Review

Unparalleled convenience at a lower than ever price, but is it any good?

Easy to install Wi-Fi connectivity ; Cheap cartridge costs

Soft print quality ; Very slow photo printing ; So-so scanner ; Price Comparison ; Lexmark X4550 all in one

The Lexmark X4550 is a cute and small unit given its all-in-one status, and is styled using the now-obligatory white plastic iNod to Apple's design studio. The snap-on front panel (one per language, apparently) and the Wi-Fi logo glow yellowy-green...

Lexmark X4550

With the X4550, Lexmark has built wireless LAN connectivity into an MFP for less than £100....

Wi-Fi, Excellent scans, Easy to use

Slow, Scanning requires wired connection

You get a lot for your money in the box with the Lexmark X4550, and the standard wireless connectivity is an interesting offering. Scan quality is good and while plain paper printing is very good, photo printing with the supplied cartridges is...

Lexmark X4550

Lexmark reckons wireless connections are set to saturate homes and offices across the nation. To this end, many of the models in its new range eagerly...

Wi-Fi, Simple to set up

Text quality wasn't sharp, Image quality was average

This is a worthy but slightly dull MFD, enlivened by the presence of Wi-Fi.

Lexmark X3550

The Lexmark X3550 offers a lot for its price, including an inexpensive Wi-Fi option to sweeten the deal.

Wi-Fi option available. Reasonably fast for the price. Prints, scans, and faxes using a PC fax modem. Scans to a PC e-mail program.

Subpar text quality, even for an ink jet. No automatic document feeder. No built-in fax modem.
