Oki Data OKI B6300N Digital Mono Printerprnt

The solidly built Oki Data B6300n would make a good workhorse printer for a small department. For about $925, you'll get plenty of paper capacity, excellent print speeds, and good image quality.

The Oki B6300n has a few interesting network features, too. A built-in Web server lets you check your print jobs' status from your desktop browser. And you can set up the server to receive e-mail, so its built-in PostScript engine can print PDF...

OKI B6300n

If you need a workhorse monochrome printer, the Oki Data OKI B6300n belongs on your short list. Built around a 35-page per minute (ppm) laser engine, the printer delivers both speed and output quality, with a 150,000 page per month duty cycle as icing...

Blazingly fast performance. Excellent text quality. Better photo quality than most monochrome laser printers. Maximum 1,800-sheet paper capacity

Default settings won't print some PowerPoint slides properly

File the OKI B6300n under workhorse monochrome printer, with excellent text quality, acceptable graphics, better photos than most monochrome lasers, and print speeds that truly show off the 35 page per minute (ppm) engine. Despite having stubbed its...

Great PRinter

Read all the specs, ask questions first.

These printers work in some pretty dirty places (warehouse, parts, etc.) and stand up to some abuse from users who think the trays need to be slammed (which breaks the guides). They work with our software vendor is the main reason for purchasing them

This is priced this low because while it has Ethernet port it doesn't work until you purchase the network DIMM, which makes it cost almost 100 more than if you purchased the correct printer in the first place. I pay 650 for a b6300n while this was 600...

Does NOT include network ROM

Solid printer, good print speed, excellent paper capacity

Does NOT include network DIMM which is required for network functionality. Calling the product "workgroup" and including a 10/100 port would seem to indicate to any educated person that this is a network printer. Apparently that is not the case

Not so Good

I always used to favor OKI printers, but the two most recent purchases eat paper like crazy, my personal OKI is also a paper muncher - worked fine for the 1st year then went way south............ Previous review I praised this printer, now after 2 yrs...

Worked good for 2 yrs, past OKIDATA printers WERE very reliable

after 2 yrs, well under the specified print output - the printer would jam up 5+ times per day. I could not use the lower tray as it would jam all the time. Mine also made the squeeking noise mentioned in another review. To get this printer fixed I...

Going on 3 years

I was surprised to read the negative reviews here. We've had our Oki since March 2005 (500,000 pages so far) and had very few problems with it. It came with a faulty toner cartridge, but Oki support shipped us a new one free of charge.

Fast and efficient

Came with faulty toner cartridge. Paper curls slightly

Not so good now

Something in this price range really should last longer than 2 years without major problems. The extended warranty at the time was expensive, too. I'm buying an HP laser this time. It's cheaper than this printer and cheaper than the fuser to fix it.

very fast and easy to operate

My ethernet port stopped working after one year. I was able to use a network adaptor in the linear port. Now the fuser (which is the expensive part) has stopped working. My warranty just expired

Great Product, Great Price

This thing was a steal of a deal. Our client loves it and all of its admin features make it very easy to remotely admin. Anyone having problems with this printer should just contact Oki, there tech support is very good and they speak english very well...

Low maintenance costs, low price (open box), fast speeds, easy network setup, great admin tools

Atfirst the printer made some nasty clicking noise nearly every time it would print. Contacted Oki support and they sent someone out to fix it that week. Of course it stopped clicking when the tech was there, but it started again and they sent another...

Good but buggy

Overall, a good printer with good quality, but read the cons above.

Very fast, easy to setup, nice clear printing

Mine makes funny clicking noises occasionally when printing and sometimes there is a bit of a smear at the top of the page. Also, no manual feed, you must load envelopes into one of the trays
