Casio XJ-A240 super slim portable projector

The Casio XJ-A240 is the brighter brother of the XJ-A130 2500 lumens instead of 2000 with the upgraded WXGA resolution from the XJ-A140. Casio have specialised in ultra slim projectors for quite a while now and they have pushed the boundaries yet again...

All in all the ultra slim Casio range is well made feature packed and easy to use. The lamp life is revolutionary and though the 2.3kg weight is about 500grams more than some competitors like Epson the slim design is a sure winner.

great but not lasting

I noticed someone at Be$t Buy had the same issue/review so it may be common with these things.

I posted before that it was one of my best purchases ever and I still think it's nice but

at about 1000 hours it started making a nasty clicking noise especially when it first started up like the wheel inside was hitting something. After a long period it went away and the color actually improved. At about 1200 hours it started having dead...

Quite good!

Primarily for traveling/data presentation. Figured it "would be nice" to do home theater duty as well. "Blown away" by utility for data presentation, "pretty good" for home theater. Surely, in a few years, it will be surpassed. However, given benefit...

Bright, small, good picture; VERY sharp for text/data, yellows/blues very vibrant. No whacky/expensive bulb to replace in 2-3 years. Lasers, people, LASERS... No discernable (to me) "rainbow" effect (though others may be more sensitive to this)

Color blows (not much red), not 1080P, no HDMI input, hot (not-too-bad), loud (not-too-bad). Heavy (not-too-bad)

Awesome, Love it

I got this projector off Newegg for $899.99 with free shipping and no tax. For that price, quality is unmatched in my opinion. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and for me, the pros of this unit erase the inconveniences that any of the cons may...

Huge screen ; Great picture quality ; Incredible for movies, sports, and video games, especially multiplayer with some friends ; Built in speakers are convenient, though the sound is far from ideal ; Easy setup. This unit fires right up, and has auto...

Limited connections; as mentioned in another review, only 1 HDMI and 1 AV ; Default colors. Other reviews have also mentioned this... You'll likely need to tinker around with the settings a little to match your preferences ; Noise. I'm a little weary...

Good projector w/o lamp replacement

42" LCD TV is $650 at wal-mart. I rather paying $250 more, and enjoy 110". In my opinion, $900 for 110" is worth it (include full 3 years warranty). Well, I am satisfied with this 120% personally. All movies become better when I watch with bigger...

1. This projector uses LED lamp that doesn't need to be replaced. Normal projector should replace its lamp every 5~6000 hours. But, this one has up to 20,000 hours lamp life. That should be MAXIMUM, but still sounds good to me ; 2. Also, 3 years...

1. If you have light, the brightness is ok to use ; 2. Also, default setting of color is so awful. You should adjust it for you ; 3. Eco2 mode is too dark even if it has the least noise. Normal mode is too loud ; 4. Input is provided the minimum: 1...

CASIO XJ-A240 1280 x 800 DLP WXGA Portable Projector 2500 lumens 1800:1

Once tuned the display quality is around the quality of a decent LCD Have used it on a white and an off white wall so far, will be painting a screen in the near future to see how much that improves the image

Supposedly long lamp life ; Portable, works well for presentations ; Looks decent using it as a 120" display for movies ; Downscales 1080i/p reasonably well

Default color settings were not the best, needed to spend some time tuning, however could be an issue of using it without a screen

Pretty Darn Good!

Only had this projector a week but I can say I have zero complaints about it. Great clarity and colour out of the box. The 20,000 hour lifespan compared to regular projector bulbs is enough to buy it without considering the small size, quiet fan (on...

Good little projector

Just picked this up on sale and am really impressed. In eco mode it's quiet. It's really small which is the main thing I was looking for. It isn't 1080 but it is HD and it looks fine. The factory colour settings are terrible but with a google search or...
