Viewsonic Pro8300

A projector that actually works better with the lights on. Weird.

Pictures genuinely watchable in ambient light, Runs quieter than expected, Fairly easy to set up

Fizzing noise over skintones, Doesn’t really have any black response at all, It doesn’t work at all well in dark rooms

Its bright 3,000 ANSI makes it great for using during the day, but its overall image quality is average

ViewSonic Pro8300 review

The ViewSonic Pro8300 offers flexible connectivity options, including a pair of HDMI 1.3 inputs along with VGA, composite video, S-video and component video. It also incorporates a pair of stereo speakers so you can present on the move without the need...

This full-HD projector excels in well-lit rooms where its powerful brightness can make presentations really pop, be they stills or anything up to 1080p video. All this is assisted by its large selection of inputs, built-in speakers and a handy...

ViewSonic Pro8300

The ViewSonic Pro8300 is unusual for a 1080p projector in that it's geared to data presentations rather than video.

1080p full HD resolution. Dual HDMI ports. 1.5x zoom.

Text could be sharper. Rainbow effect in video. Soft sound for two 10-watt speakers.

The ViewSonic Pro8300 is a rarity among 1080p projectors in being geared to data projection. It's bright enough for its image to hold up to a good bit of ambient light. It has a good selection of ports for both data and video, including two HDMI ports....

Viewsonic PRO8300

The PRO8300 has very good image processing via its 10-bit processor. Color depth is good and can be enhanced by the use of a built-in color management system (CMS). Video noise is kept to a minimum and the image is artifact-free at any resolution....

Over 2000 lumens, Very sharp image with any resolution and good color accuracy, Two HDMI inputs, Color management system (CMS), Very competitive price, Lightweight and portable for a high output, 1080p projector

No network ability, No standalone projection ability, Lumen output drops off significantly in all but brightest mode, Unlike most DLP projectors, has a dust filter that must be cleaned and replaced

The Viewsonic PRO8300 does not dazzle with features, but instead targets a specific market quite well.  Most high resolution multimedia projectors also come with a fairly high price, well above that of the PRO8300’s sub-$1000 street price.  While the...

Viewsonic 8300

1080p native, 3000 lumens, tons of options for adjustment of the picture, long lamp life... works for me!

What an amazing buy! I have had two projectors prior to this... an older Sharp XR-10x which was a great hidden gem of a projector, and the Epson 710HD... which was not bad... but had the worst blacks I have seen in some time ; Well this bad boy... is...

A bit large and heavy. Not a real issue for permanent mounting ; Marketed as a business projector... which is a shame... because it excels for movies, tv and games
