The Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F is best used for photographic prints.

Reasonably capable for photographic prints. Backlight correction and color restore features in driver.

Film scan doesn't work for slides. Scans only one frame of film at a time. Film scanning is extremely cumbersome.

I haven't had it long so difficult to say but so far good on photo prints and large complex colour docs, its able to remove gutter shadow distortion from curve of book cover,very accurate on A4 colour conversion, you can improve old photo prints with...
