So far so good!

I brought this because I'm bored. I have an older mother board I'm dropping "newer" parts in to see how this old computer will compare to other top dollar computers I own. The mother board only has only has SATA (II) ports. I connected it with a SATA...

It worked ; Scored a 7.3 on that cheesy windows scale ; Price 45 dollars

Came in a white box no bigger then the drive itself with nothing included. Which is basically a message for "Good Luck

Slow Write speeds

The read speed was better (230MB/s) in fact more than twice the read speed of my hdd. I think I'll try to return this and get something faster. The manufacturers specs showed a read speed of 280MB/s and a write speed of 270MB/s. It really fell short on...

Price seemed to be reasonable

Slow write speed (77MB/s). In fact slower than my hdd. Kind of defeats the purpose, at least in part, of getting an ssd

Firmware issues causing blue screen with windows

Price

There seemed to be some firmware issues with this brand and the manufacturer. I tried two RMA and still had the same problem. I can note that it worked fine with Linux/unix

SSD not compatible with some AMD APU

Some compatibility problem with AMD APU equipped laptops when trying to install/use Windows 8. [It takes like 2minutes just to format the SSD, which takes like 5seconds on 5400rpm HDD] Not sure which to blame Microsoft? AMD? Lenovo? Corsair?, but since...

I could max out 270MB/s write and read on Linux

2 Eggs. Because nothing was notified and seemed like AMD issue was known when I searched through Corsair forum after the fact

RMA adventure

(1) -My old harddrives were in raid 0 and they were mismatched 7200rpm 500gb drives that were 5 years old, says alot about the speed compared to the ssd (2) -I sent the product for RMA exactly as it was, no adapter tray, no s/n on the box, exactly as I...

Wasn't DOA ; Worked a bit faster than my previous harddrives ; (2)RMA procedure(look below)

(1)Didn't see blazing speed: Win 7 installed in the same amount of time my harddrives took(look below) ; It seemed to slow down with capacity increase even though it's an ssd, awkward ; I benchmarked the ssd and found the drive was performing at half...

Died in 40 days

I had this installed in my wife's laptop and all of a sudden the machine became unresponsive. Upon reboot, it'd not even detect the drive - I tried times but no use. I thought that it was covered under "60 days Manufacturer Warranty" but when I looked...

SSD

Died in exactly 40 days - right outside the 30 days window
