We're impressed with the size and scale of these Dynaudios, but they're just too brutish to sound ideal

Produce a dynamic, powerful sound ; deep, weighty bass

Lack refinement and maturity ; bass weight comes at expense of agility and speed ; there’s a hard edge to the sound

You’ve got to admire their size and scale, but better bookshelf speakers exist at this price point

This speaker's 240mm driver is a rarity in the modern era

Well mannered ; Good expression and grip

Not pretty

Aside from the aesthetics, the large main driver offers invigorating dynamic expression, grip, bass extension and headroom. Overall, this is an impressively delicate, open and well-mannered speaker

Danish speaker specialist Dynaudio has always followed its own unique path in drive-unit engineering, and is also unusual in enjoying success right across the speaker spectrum - from hi-fi to professional audio, via the in-car sector

Ten inches woof big. Where's the subwoofer in this system? People, look at the picture. You're seeing a whole quintet of 10-inch woofers. “Jeeves, we will dispense with the subwoofer today.” “A wise decision, sir.” For me, this evokes a happy feeling...

Firstly this is not exactly an DM 2/10 review but its very close, my 3 years old loved DYNAUDIO bookshelf monitors are the Dynaudio - Acoustics (studio division of the brand) BM15P model, P of passive, that means non-active non-powered just like home...
