UE's latest has Boom for improvement…

Robust, assertive sound that sounds good outdoors ; Well-appointed with features ; Rugged, user-friendly design

Lacking sonic detail and refinement ; Timing and dynamics could be improved ; Can sound a little hard-edged

If you want a bold, powerful sound in a robust, durable package, the UE Everboom will do a decent job. Discerning listeners looking for real musical panache, though, will be left feeling a little short-changed.

Ultimate Ears Everboom: Good Speaker, Tough Sell

 

The Ultimate Ears Everboom is a good speaker in an odd spot.

Smooth and full sound. Refined treble with good instrumental definition. Great usability features like remote power-on. Customizable EQ and presets. Armor-tough exterior. Floatable design with IP67 dust and waterproof certification. Accessible onboard...

Pricier than the Megaboom without notable performance upgrades. Rather bulky for travel. Midrange can sound slightly muffled from the front in close quarters.

Ultimate Ears Everboom review: the right size

 

The UE Everboom is the latest speaker in the company's crowded lineup. It delivers the usual strengths, like 360-degree audio and a rugged build, but not much else.

The Everboom isn’t a terrible purchase; none of UE’s products are if all you’re seeking is a decent-sounding and very dependable speaker. But we’re firmly in an era where I’m expecting more than “Yeah, that sounds pretty nice” from a $250 wireless...

No bluetooth multi-device connectivity , can't get very loud
