I had a Dyson before, this one is just as powerful for a fraction of the money. My comment is based on hard floor cleaning only, I do not have any carpets.

suction is not very good

Being able to change the suction strength is great. Used to have a dyson and yes it was old but just one vacuum with the samsung and you could see the difference. Really easy to empty too. If possible makes vacumming a pleasure!!!!

I do feel that it probably won't have the longevity as the dyson some of the plastic connections are flimsy.

Easy to use good suction, and nice long cable and hose probably the best vacuum I've ever had, and I've had all the really expensive ones, this beats those hands down!

Good suction, fairly quiet,not too heavy

After using twice developed a fault in motor speed. Returned to authorised repairer,Came back 1 week later with still the same fault. Returned again and this time seems to work Ok,. Hope it keeps working!

Excellent product,do what it says on the box.Very powerful.

Bought to replace a Dyson which wasn't old but which didn't perform as well as I'd hoped. The Samsung knocks spots off the Dyson. Even on medium setting the suction is extremely powerful, and it moves from carpet to kitchen tiles with ease.

It would be nice to have a place to store the tools. A little heavier than it looks.
