Killers- Blu-ray

The same agonizing wait for something to happen in the film applies to the D-BOX track. There's more D-BOX use in the opening credits than the entire first two-thirds of the film. That's no knock against the D-BOX engineers. They simply didn't have any...

LG Blu-ray Player (BD555C)

I found this BLu- ray far exceeds the Sony player of equal or greater value. Way more user friendly

Air Force One (Blu-ray)

Cringe-inducing action thriller is basically Die Hard on a plane, only the plane in question happens to be the personal mode of transport for the US President, overtaken by some Kazakh terrorists. We can buy Ford as a grimly determined First Leader but...

PROLINE DVDP272 W

Bought this unit based on the review above, and it's alright. Nice user interface, nice installing applications, absolutely AWFUL picture on the second screen. I will be taking Comet to task over this as it is totally unacceptable.

Philips BDP5110

While not an OPPO player, this one is OK. It doesn't play all of the disc thrown at it, but it does a decent job with the ones that it does play. Seems flimsy, but ok.

Dorian Gray (2009) (Blu-ray)

I enjoyed this film and the acting by Ben Barnes was brilliant. I will admit in parts it had me a little bored as I felt the story went on for a little too long. It was really good to see how Dorian goes from an innocent young man to the opposite side...

Max Payne (Blu-ray)

As a fan of the games I had a curiosity to see this and also I quite like Mark Walberg as an actor. However the film feels flat, it takes some elements from the games and creates a boring film. It could have been so good had they kept to the source...

Philips 3D Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi (BD2985/F7)

Not a good experience. Right out of the box it froze on the first attempt on the Netflix app. Then worked "ok" for a few days except it was slow to load. Then started freezing more and more. After a week it freezes often and the only way to turn it off...

Samsung BD-P1590 - null

Bought cheap at Costco. Has worked okay, but successive firmware updates resulted in no DVD playing, and finally a bricked unit. I'm very unhappy with Samsung and won't buy their technology again.

Magnavox WiFi Built-in Blu-ray Player MBP5120F/F7

I feel that this model has been given unfair reviews. So what if it only uses Vudu? Complain to newegg customer service, don't leave a bad review on a product that's actually pretty decent for a recertified product. It works great for what I need it...

Samsung BD-P1200 - null

I know this player has some very strong haters, but in my usage it has been one of the most reliable components in my entire life. I'm not sure if I received a "Magical Unit" or what but it plays with out fault everything I throw at it. It has never...

ElementTM EDBCO11 Blu-ray Disc Player

I bought this player in December 2010. It has served me for the last 2 years. The major issue is there is only ONE firmware upgrade in 2009 for this player. Element (Ebsco) refused to return my calls, emails, and deleted my comments from their Facebook...

Harry Potter

While it's definitely worth a look from hardcore Potterites, Harry Potter: Spells suffers from shallow gameplay and frustratingly touch motion detection. Even though it's nice piece of fanservice, it's hard to recommend spells as more than a novelty app.

Deep Throat

Really nostalgia feel of the 70's and pretty crack up. Although not muchtalking (funnily enough) the movie moves along at a good enough pace. Bit of aclassic so would recommend.

Fool's Gold (2008) (Blu-ray)

Matthew McConaughey starred in a film called Sahara in the year 2005 and it was very much in the same vain as Romancing the Stone which starred Michael Douglas back in 1984. They were both action adventure films that had some comedy in them whilst...

Samsung BD-C7900 - null

I purchased the C7900 and hooked it up to my Samsung LCD (Model# LN40D630M3FXZA) and noticed the quality was very poor. The image was pixilated on every Blu-ray disc and jumpy on some others. After resetting the tv and player, I experimented for hours...
