Don't gimbal with my heart
Super-smart stabilisation ; Decent imaging quality ; Ergonomic, compact design
Doesn’t work with standard tripods ; Mic records gimbal sounds
A game-changing camera for amateur filmmakers requiring smooth, stable footage

The Osmo Plus is a gimbal camera offering stabilised video quality to your productions. We used two at CES 2017 for 'run and gun' video making and...
Excellent 4K images in good lighting ; Light weight and easy to use in 'run & gun' shooting ; Audio input for external mic ; Good battery life which can be extended successfully for long shoots
Low light is a challenge ; No audio monitoring or headphone connection ; Full rig setup can be unwieldy ; Can lose Wi-Fi connection on busy show floors

Can use any camera app ; All features of prior model ; Big battery ; Lower price
Better for iPhone than Android ; Still pretty expensive for a gimbal
I have been reviewing DJI’s smartphone gimbals for years now. Every time a new one launches, I end up calling it the best smartphone gimbal you can get. Well, things are no different in 2025: Unless you’re looking for something really niche that the...
