The Potensic Atom SE is an almost-perfect beginner drone – if only the camera performance would be better

Folding design makes it easy to store drone; Easy to control in the air; A range of different flying modes; Sub-250g weight is ideal for beginners

Camera performance leaves much to be desired; Doesn't cope well wind any sort of wind; Strong vignetting on footage

Is this the best beginner drone out there? It depends on whether the flying experience or the camera dictates your choice...

4K video output; GPS return to home; Includes carry case and two batteries; Optical stabilization can fly indoors; Waypoint and orbit modes

Camera uses EIS, not a mult-axis gimbal; Batteries lack fast charge; take a few hours to charge; Forces registration (email address) to use the app
