Sanyo's VPC-HD2000 makes HD recording easy and comfortable
Plenty of features for price ; Solid pictures ; Style
No hard disk ; No HDMI cable or memory card
Lots of features and good picture quality make this an excellent buy

Sanyo has updated its flagship pistol grip camcorder with the new HD2000, but has the update been worth it? We get recording to find out. At £549, plus the PC or Mac you are no doubt going to have to buy to actually edit the footage you've captured,...
Simple, easy to use, Full HD looks crisp and impressive
Basic in its feature set, you'll need a powerful computer to edit the footage, you'll need a big SD card
At £549, plus the PC or Mac you are no doubt going to have to buy to actually edit the footage you've captured, the Sanyo VPC-DH2000 is a nice camera, but one that you'll probably find you aren't making full use of.

A decent enough HD camcorder stuck between the ultra cheap models from Flip and the pricier Sony Handycams
Cheap for what it does, easy to use
Slow mo mode is awkward

Eight-megapixel stills plus Full HD video from top-of-the-range ‘dual camera'. But is one all-encompassing device truly better than two?
Despite getting a ‘could do better' for results and performance, with the uneasy feeling that certain details have been compromised for form factor, the HD2000 is fun to use and
