Sony Handycam HDR-XR150 review

A follow-up to the CX100, the Sony Handycam HDR-CX110, CX150 and XR150 represent Sony's budget-priced HD triumvirate. They differ only by color and storage media--the CX110 has no built-in memory, the CX150 has 16GB built in, and the XR150 incorporates...

Compact; lens focuses relatively fast.

Merely OK video quality; worse-than-expected lens flare problems in bright sunlight.

Its small size and attractive price might draw you to the Sony Handycam HDR-XR150, but this bare-bones camcorder just barely delivers on the promise of HD quality.

Sony HDR-XR150 review

The Sony HDR-XR150 is a reasonably priced Full HD camcorder that provides good video and plenty of user-friendly features. Its chief strengths are a 120GB hard drive and 25x optical zoom lens.

Sony HDR-XR150 camcorder

Full HD Sony camcorder with 120GB hard drive and 25x optical zoom

Good HD video performance, 120GB hard drive, compact size, three recording formats in one

Touch screen occasionally annoys, sub-par still image mode

The Sony HDR-XR150 is a reasonably priced Full HD camcorder that provides good video and plenty of user-friendly features. Its chief strengths are a 120GB hard drive and 25x optical zoom lens. Recommended.

HDR-X150 Video Camera

I can not down load any of the video in the video recorder to my computer because Sony chose to use a USB plug type that is not available even at Best Buy where I bought the video recorder. I therefore give a failing grade for Compatability.I don't...

Clear crisp High definition video and pics ;

Sony stupidly chose a 2.0 USB plug type that no one has ;
