A sensibly priced manual espresso machine with a mess-avoiding tamper system.
Low-mess design ; Good coffee temperature ; Easy to use
Not best suited to all kitchen designs ; Output approach doesn't provide best crema

The powerful steam output makes producing milky drinks easy, too. The only issue we had was that the output is so powerful relative to some others at the price that you can end up a mug full of froth if you’re not careful where you wave your wand....

While the presence of coffee shops on the High Street continues to grow, we still need a means of providing our favourite beverage in the home.
Don’t get the wrong impression if I mention that I am a Mug sort of guy. Let me explain what I mean by that remark. I am the type of person who has always preferred having their hot beverage, whether it was tea of coffee, in a mug rather than a cup....

I bought the above version of this coffee machine from John Lewis. It is essentially the same machine with a few cosmetic differences.Amazing machine, makes great coffee. Easy to use, not to messy. Used coffee ejects easily from the coffee holder by...

Bought this to replace our second Delonghi Magnifica, both of which made decent coffee, but expired just after the guarantee ran out.The Krups makes a far superior espresso, for very little extra effort. We both drink doubles, and the grounds empty...

We had problems with the milk frother. The metal pipe attaches to the plastic nozzle with a screw thread. This wore out and steam started to escape from the join. Krups replaced the machine but a few weeks later the same thing happened. A shame,...
Consumer review (which.co.uk)
We purchased this machine to replace our six year old Krups which was similar in design. The coffee is great, the auto tamping works well as does the milk frother. It is easier to clean than our previous model. The instructions recommend preheating...

It warms up in no time, it tamps the coffee for you, it stops automatically if you leave home in a hurry and forget to do so and the steam nozzle is brilliant and simple to clean.
