very fast start compared to old desk top which took several minutes to get going. quiet - no noisy fan

wireless mouse is a bit temperamental (but old one also works so not much of a problem)

After Win XP, 95, 98, etc Windows 7 does not have all the best bits of all of them. We have used it now for over a year, on other machines. There are some parts that require you to "upgrade" useful progs. like Access. Is this progress?
