I found this incredibility worth for the money. I did not install a windows on it because the gOS it shipped with is good enough for almost everything I do. This is really great for a small home server(the hard disk would be a bit slow). I changed...
Cheap ; Efficient for most tasks
The case is much larger than it should be

This is not a Windows computer. If you want one of those, get one - don't bash this one because it's different. In this case different is good.
It is inexpensive and works great. Plenty of upgrade options. Uses little power. Plug it in and go. Plays DVD movies out of the box

Unless you have a copy of Windows Home Server, building this box will cost approximately the same as an HP EX470 once you add gigabit ethernet and a 500gb drive.
Quiet, Low power use with sata connectors make this a good Windows Home Server base box. Runs fine with the 512mb ram, install was flawless. Only missing driver was sound, which isn't needed in this application. Be sure to remove the modem card
10/100 networking instead of gigabit

Nice and quiet. Runs Ubuntu perfect. Bought it to have a box that I could play with Linux on. For $200 its a deal
The gOS loaded on it isnt my thing, its suppose to be ubuntu based.... Just save yourself the time and disappointment and load Ubuntu

If you want a cheap box, go get an off-lease box. Some may come with XP otherwise install Ubuntu.
Energy efficient processor
You could build a better cheaper Linux box yourself off of New Egg. Not the best Linux distro. Lack of Dial-Up support is inexcusable. Could use a smaller case

I really like the machine for the price just wonder why they haven't written a driver for the dial up modem in the computer. Then I could give it to say my grandparents who don't care if its windows or Linux.
The machine works very well out of the box with everything my grandma would need to get online. The interface is actually easier for her than Windows. Oh and its cheap
For some reason these computers ship with a dial up modem but you cant use it? It doesn't come with windows (yes to most people I asked this is a con)

Great product! Works good, installed XP
Only 512ram. This is very acceptable because of its cheap price

Do not buy !!!!!! Newegg should really look at this brand of computer before listing it in their product line. We have purchase a lot of items from Newegg . Because my sons recommended the site as one of the best to purchase computer, and Electronic...
Quiet , only because it only has 1 fan on the CPU
This computer is a piece of JUNK. Added 1 g of memory, tried loading windows XP, because I know nothing about Linxus OS. The computer shuts down all the time. When starting up it boots twice before it stays on for a while. It shuts down an reboots when...

I bought this machine to replace an old Pentium 4 Dell Dimension 8100. I've been looking to build a low power machine based on a VIA CPU to run my linux home server on. Then the gPC showed up and it was a perfect fit. I took the drives out of the old...
Quiet, inexpensive, low power, 80GB HD is a Seagate, no windows tax, plays DVDs out of the box, makes a good low power server, on the keyboard the windows keys and menu key are blank. Used gOS for a bit before converting into a server and it was nice...
Small fan on CPU heatsink started making a little bit of noise but it stopped, but for $200 it's a minor and acceptable flaw ; Case has stickers that read "Warning !Do not open unit before reading warranty agreement". I think they're just to keep the...
