The eMachines EZ1601-01 is among the best of the nettops, with an integrated screen and DVD burner, but its memory limits its performance.
Compact. Inexpensive. 18 inch screen. It's "enough" for simple tasks. DVD burner.
Only 1GB of non-upgradable RAM. Weak integrated graphics. HD video is jerky. Loads of Bloatware, including offers for dial up Internet (sans modem). Only 60-day Norton Internet Security subscription.

eMachines EZ1601-01
Large screen for its price; strong features among Nettops.
Typically terrible Nettop performance; Netbooks offer portability and the same (bad) performance for the same price; weak audio and suspect online video processing kills any appeal as a dedicated movie PC.
If you must buy a Nettop, the eMachines EZ1601-01's large screen and category-competitive components make a decent argument for its value among other systems like it. One look at a true budget desktop, or even a Netbook, and the appeal of this system...

All told, the EZ1601 is a nicely designed mini-desktop, and with a single change, we'd give it a thumbs-up: Anything posing as a desktop PC needs more than 1GB of memory. If only the eMachines came with 2GB, we'd be tickled with it. But as is, probably...

Looks good. Easy to set up, monitor great for editing documents. Saves loads of space in my tiny study. Very good value for money. Ideal for general use.
Skype tells me it is running slowly. Not sure I believe that but it could be faster loading web pages.

a little slow but a nice compact unit .its basically a "stand up laptop" .It has very clean lines
