Easy to configure, set up, use ; Up to 28TB onboard storage, up to 100TB+ with external add-on bays ; Tool-less design, quick HDD/SSD installation ; Plenty of server modules (apps) from Synology and third-party devs ; Quick access to expandable RAM slot

Single Gigabit RJ 45 port ; Front storage door not secure with lock ; A bit expensive for casual users

The DS218+ NAS is a great data storage solution at home, but you have to be a tad geeky to set it up.
