A full-frame sensor in a compact rangefinder-style body offers an intriguing yet flawed proposition
Small size and low weight for a full-frame camera ; Handy vari-angle screen ; Decent ISO performance
Small viewfinder ; Ergonomics could be better ; Expensive compared to the Sony A7 IV
The Sony A7C is undoubtedly an able performer, and will produce photos and videos that the majority of users will be happy with, despite limited video specs. The camera is slightly smaller and considerably lighter than standard A-series models but it...

Sony places full-frame tech inside an APS-C body - but is this travel-friendly mirrorless model any good?

With its mega 61-megapixel sensor, the A7C R is ridiculous in the best possible way.
Incredible image sharpness and detail ; Compact, lightweight design ; Great autofocus and subject-tracking features ; It's consistent and reliable for stills and video
It's pricey ; Only one SD card slot
The A7CR is here to show exactly what Sony is capable of: delivering phenomenal image quality and smart features in a really compact camera.

Sony's A7C takes full-frame to a whole, tiny new level. But does it deliver as big?
Really compact size ; Fully articulating screen ; Fast autofocus and smart tracking features ; Great build quality ; Versatile video modes
Only one SD card slot ; No 4K60p ; Menu button is in a really awkward place
Sony has leveraged the popularity of its A7 series, creating a full-frame camera that seems impossibly small in the A7C. There are lots of positives here in terms of build quality and performance, but it's lacking a little in areas like bitrate and...

It's the world's smallest full-frame system camera – and there's no big catch
Superb all-round image quality ; Compact, lightweight build ; Accurate autofocus
4K limited to 30fps ; Older menu system ; Small viewfinder
Full-frame goodness from a half-pint camera

Sony claims the Alpha 7C, with in-body image stabilisation, is the world's smallest full-frame camera. It's certainly compact and comes with a 24Mp sensor, wi-fi connectivity and 4K video recording. But in a field with stiff competition can it stand...

We review Sony's smallest full-frame mirrorless camera, the Sony Alpha A7C, with the new and compact 28-60mm f/4-5.6 zoom lens. If you're looking for a small full-frame camera, then this could be one to consider.
In essense, the Sony Alpha A7C is very similar to the A7 III, but the smaller body has left the camera with a number of compromises, which mean we'd rather have the A7 III, with front and rear command dials, dual SD card slots, better ergonomics, and a...

Sony's a7C is among the smallest full-frame mirrorless cameras you can buy, and in terms of core capability, not much has been sacrificed for the sake of compactness. It makes a great travel camera but isn't as refine as the best of its rivals.

The Sony a7C is a slimmed down, full-frame camera built for travel, but its small size limits its versatility, and some aspects feel a little dated.
