WAS A GOOD DEAL
If it were still available, we'd recommend it.
We purchased this to replace a decrepit but still functional VCR. Although this unit was a refurb, it looked new and functioned out of the box. It has plenty of features and does the job

nice machine
This is a nice machine, huge HDD, but this is a no-frills machine - no fancy menus or editing effects, just straight-forward simple editing and recording of video/audio signals. I would have liked some other features, like CD burning, but this works...

Does what it Sopposed to do!

Came adequately packed in bubble wrap- in like new condition- Complete manual (Not stapled or photocopied) and a Quick start guide I hooked mine up with a coax splitter with a separate cable to the TV and one to the 537 then HDMI for the TV input....

This is the only recorder out there with a TV tuner built in that allows for HDD recording. This allows you to record your shows without paying your cable/sat provider for a monthly DVR unit. The one oddity I don't like is that the tuner does not do...
