No digital TV tuner or EPG
Everything it does right, and there is quite a lot, is negated by its insane lack of a digital tuner

The Samsung DVD-HR755 should only be of interest to those in analog TV reception areas. Everyone else can (and should) do better.
250GB storage. HDMI interface.
Analog tuner. “HD Compliant” is a weasel word. Poor menu structures.

Very happy with the product until it stopped recognising blank DVDs and I had a lot of shows to put onto DVD to clear a lot of space in preparation for the World Cup. It is always on and playing a DVD or previously recorded show for the kids and has...
Easy to use, rewind during live recording, records continuously set and forget
Just stopped recognising blank DVDs

Reasonably happy, love the ability to be able to record all of my shows in one night but have had problems with recording stopping midway through a show and now pixelation after the first half hour of recording.
Affordable, looks good
Issues with pixelation of image when recording tv shows ; Get better reception through digital STB
Consumer review (cnet.com.au)
A stylish and well featured unit for the price, except for the lack of digital tuner. But you can work around that when the time comes with a set top box.
Good picture, good features & capacity, nice looking unit
Sometimes confusing menus, lack of digital tuner. But just get an HD set top box when the analog is turned off

samsung dvd-hr755 review: The Samsung DVD-HR755 should only be of interest to those in analog TV reception areas. Everyone else can (and should) do better.
Good quality, good picture + the video in-out which make it very versitile. Works great to watch photos directly from my DSLR Nikon D80, 250GB storage, HDMI interface
Region locked, can't find any info on how to unlock it, how stupid is it to make a "travel DVD player" that you can't unlock? And the poor speaker sound., Analog tuner, "HD Compliant" is a weasel word, Poor menu structures
The Samsung HR755 should only be of interest to those in analog TV reception areas. Everyone else can (and should) do better.
