Nintendo Wii Fit is an exercise video game developed by Nintendo. The game consists of activities that can be performed on the Wii Balance Board. Some of the exercises available in the game are: jogging, tightrope tension, lotus focus, balance bubble,...

We've been stuck inside too long reviewing graphics cards and playing games. It's time we went outside for some exercise - or, even better, stayed inside and played another game to simulate that effect using new hardware!
I say this a lot, but it really is hard to know what to think about

Thin is in. Our review of Nintendo's Wii workout title.
It's exercise. Fun mini games. Strong Mii integration.
It's exercise. Balance Board feedback is sometimes vague. Weak multiplayer support.

Balance board is a great new peripheral. Exercises will help your balance and strength. Beats the repetitiveness of going to the gym. Some fun balance board games. Pleasant presentation throughout.
No way to create your own exercise program. You're forced to unlock most of the activities. Some games are rather shallow. Health and fitness assessments can be problematic. Board is sensitive, but you can still cheat at exercises.
Wii Fit will help you work up a sweat, but it's not as smooth and fun a workout as you'd probably like.

Can the Nintendo Wii Fit make fitness fun?
The Wii Fit is an interactive fitness package for the Wii games console from Nintendo. It features 40 different activities designed to help you get into shape.

The Wii system and much of its library is great for getting you off of the couch, and Wii Fit is no exception. Not only will it help you get in shape, it also helps you improve your center of balance. The Wii Balance Board measures your balance and...
This game is still hard to get a hold of as of the writing of this review. I recommend this game as a fun way to exercise your whole body. Given that there isn’t much structure or any pre-set routines I don’t take it too seriously as a weight loss...

I'm sure there are probably better ways to get fit but the exercises are fun and they get you doing more fitness activity than you would normally. The weight and BMI measurements you get from the board should probably be taken with a grain of salt -...
Fun and gets you doing some exercise
Nothing major

Has lots of different activities (eg, kung-fu, cycling, yoga, step class, stretching, balance games, obstacle courses, etc) to keep you occupied without getting bored. You can also set up your own routines so you can easily do a 15 minute routine of...
I have the wii fit plus version, which I think has a few extra functions. Have had no troubles with the balance board.
Can be a bit judgemental! Sometimes the commentary seems a bit over the top or unnecessary, would be good if you could set it up to ignore some comments.

Not a replacement or huge help for exercise by any means, but a fun addition to the range of games for Wii. It packs and sets up easily meaning it's an option to bring out when friends come over and you want to make a fool of yourself infront of them!
Easy to set up and fun way to play slightly more active and inclusive games with friends and family. Simple enough for non-gamers to understand and join in. Simple yoga and balance games can be handy for focussing on your posture and form, but it does...
Certainly not designed for exercising. There's also a fair bit of waiting around for it to calibrate and load in most games.

We bought a Wii and Wii fit as part of a group present for my brother-in-laws family and their 4 kids last Christmas. When we would go over for lunch during the winter it was a great afternoon's fun to take turns at playing different games. This worked...
great fun and has games suitable for a variety of skill levels and for the whole family, good for sharing as most games have a defined (short) time
can only play one player at a time, cannot play different games in succession - must go back to menu and change game
