Sturdy purists' Blu-ray deck with super audio-visual performance

Build quality ; Picture and sound performance ; DivX HD

No built-in memory ; Discs are slow to load

Other players offer better value for money and similar picture quality, but the BD7004's build and sound quality can't be questioned

Fantastic build quality and performance, but lacks the wow factor of some cheaper rivals

Marantz BD7004

It is a very nice bit of gear, with only the load times on some BD letting it down. If your one of those people that need to tailgate and over take at every opportunity while in peak hour traffic then this player isn't for you, but if you have 1 once...

picture reproduction is great. Does a good job of up scaling dvd's and i love the classy look

The only issue i have with this player are the load times they range from not bad to down right slow, movies like Avatar seem to take for ever, but since it does every thing else so well it's easy to live with
