TomTom's One is autobahn fast: just 20 seconds after switch-on, a signal is located, and it asks where you fancy going. It has a fantastic touchscreen display and great interface, which quickly narrows down your desired destination. The One's also...

Why pay more for a satnav when the TomTom One can get you to John O' Groats and back for under a ton (plus petrol, of course).
A TomTom for under a ton? Yes please.
It's lacking an SD card slot. No Bluetooth.

A tiny, pocket sized model which has an integral screen mount which folds flat against the body of the satnav for easy storage. Of course with its small dimensions you compromise on screen size, but it still manages to pack in lots of useful...

From the TomTom ONE, to the ONE (New Edition), to the ONE XL, it's clear that TomTom's ONE unit is a popular choice. It's back again for a fourth rein...
Design and aesthetics, user interface, excellent maps, "Help Me" safety feature, fixed speed camera alerts
Battery life, AC charger not included
The ONE 3rd Edition adds an excellent safety feature to an already outstanding unit, though it's a shame battery life hasn't been improved. Regardless, it's definitely great value at this price.

Editors' note: Portions of the Features section was taken from our review of the TomTom One 130S since the two GPS share similar capabilities.
The TomTom One 125 delivers accurate directions and good performance. The GPS is easy to use and offers the essential navigation features, including a Help Me safety feature.
The One 125 doesn't include text-to-speech functionality. The display is on the smaller side, and the car mount is weak.
Though we miss text-to-speech functionality, the TomTom One 125 is an easy-to-use, accurate, and affordable GPS for first-time buyers.

The TomTom One features a sleek design and is simple to use. It offers accurate text- and voice-guided directions and is affordably priced.
The TomTom One's points-of-interest database is a bit outdated and doesn't support text-to-speech functionality.
Offering just the navigation essentials and accurate directions, the TomTom One is an affordable and easy-to-use in-car GPS device for first-time buyers or anyone who wants a no-frills nav system.

The super-portable TomTom One gives the Garmin nüvi a run for its money.
Great value. Easy to use. Sensitive receiver. Excellent language support. User-selectable fields.
No Bluetooth speakerphone interface. Lacks text-to-speech conversion.

In-car GPS navigation systems are a boon for anybody that spends a lot of time driving from A to B. TomTom's One is designed to deliver directions en route and allow the driver to concentrate on the road.
Easy-to-use. Outstanding navigation.
No printed manual. Tricky to reset mid-route.
If you spent a lot of time driving around unfamiliar areas, the TomTom One could save enormous amounts of time and frustration. Granted, the design does have a couple of minor issues, and the lack of a printed manual is a little irksome, but the...
