The PowerBuds Pro offer plenty for those who enjoy workouts, but their overall performance isn't as strong as some of their rivals
Comfortable and lightweight design ; Appealing audio performance ; Lots of fitness-focused features on offer
Not really for casual fitness users ; Not the most secure fit ; Weak noise cancellation ; Fitness tracking doesn’t appear to be most accurate
There’s plenty the PowerBuds Pro offer for fitness bods, but overall performance isn’t in the same league as some of their rivals.

The Beats Powerbeats Pro are the best running headphones, the best true wireless buds and arguably just The Best Headphones you can buy
Great fit ; Great sound ; Great connectivity ; Great controls
Fairly great expense ; Although Beats have toned down their bassy 'signature sound' of old, some might still find them a tad boomy
Beats Powerbeats Pro are comfortably the best gym and running headphones ever but they are also great, musical true wireless buds that crumple all competition, including AirPods

We put the Beats Powerbeats Pro to the test.
Easy pairing with iOS Immaculate fit Enjoyable sound
Case is fairly bulky Limited noise isolation Only IPX4 rated
The true wireless Powerbeats Pro a big step up for the Apple-owned headphone brand. They have their limitations (see: lack of noise-cancellation, limited noise isolation and IPX4 rating), but they are Apple’s most premium workout buds.

Built for exercise, but not for audio quality
Superb playback consistency ; Flawless comfort and fit ; Intuitive control system ; Great battery life
Dynamic range limited ; Bass lacks punch ; Audio lacks excitement
In many ways these are among the best in-ear wireless sports headphones available, but not for sound

The Powerbeats Pro killer workout and running earphones. They're easily the most comfortable in ears we've worn, they sound great and go for hours.
Great fit and tips ; Sound is impressive ; Really long battery life ; H1 Chip adds convenience for iPhone users ; Brilliant for running/exercise
Noise isolation/cancellation isn't great on loud trains ; Case lid feels a bit flimsy when open ; No wireless charging case
On the whole, we don't think there's a more complete pair of wire-free earphones than the Powerbeats Pro. You get incredible battery life, enjoyable sound and a fit that's both comfortable enough to wear for long periods and secure enough to take it on...

Bulky charging case and high price tag aside, the Powerbeats Pro combines all the features that make the AirPods great while delivering richer sound and better battery life in a design that won't fall out of your ears.
The Good ; The Powerbeats Pro have better sound and battery life than the AirPods and will stay on your ears securely. They offer all the same basic conveniences of the 2019 AirPods, including fast pairing, rock-solid wireless connectivity and...
The Bad ; The Powerbeats Pro are more expensive than AirPods. The charging case isn't pocket-friendly, nor does it offer wireless charging. The headphones deliver some treble push, and may not fit all ears perfectly.
The Bottom Line If you can overlook the jumbo charging case and high price, the Powerbeats Pro true wireless headphones are superior to the AirPods in a few key ways.

Still the Beats bang
Grown up sound ; Battery life ; Apple’s innards ; Smooth setup and controls
Bulky charging case ; No USB-C ; Price ; Noise isolation
The best truly wireless earphones for iOS users and a serious temptation to everyone else

The first ‘truly wireless' earbuds from Beats are a spectacular piece of audio tech, and offer a credible alternative to the AirPods Pro.
Comfortable fit ; Rich sound that isn’t bass-reliant ; Smooth OS compatibility
No Beats app ; No noise-cancelling tech

Possibly the finest true wireless headphone you can buy today.
Good sound quality ; Works well with iOS devices ; Long battery life ; Comfortable, secure fit ; Controls on both earpieces
Only connects to a single device ; Bulky carrying case ; No support for wireless charging

Beats' first true wireless earbuds leverage technology from Apple, including the H1 chip inside the AirPods 2, in a larger design that nearly doubles the battery life, and adds sweat- and water-resistance. But connection woes have us pumping the brakes...
Class-leading battery life ; Water resistant ; Secure fit, sleek design ; Bold, vibrant sound
The new Powerbeats Pro: Stellar workout buds with one serious flaw
