Harman Kardon Soho Wireless review

Ultra-portable Bluetooth headphones with innovative features and flaws alike

Clean design ; Spot-on touch controls ; Alternative wired listening

Expensive ; Scratch-prone leather ; Comfort issues

The Harman Kardon Soho Wireless is a bit of a confused product, offering as much to the table that is spectacular to that which is, unfortunately, not up to spec against the competition.

Harman Kardon Soho Wireless review

At first glance, the Soho Wireless Bluetooth headphone looks very similar to its wired siblings, the Soho-I (iOS) and Soho-A (Android), which were released in 2014 and now cost $200, down $50 from their initial launch price. I didn't love that...

The Harman Kardon Soho Wireless is a compact, on-ear Bluetooth headphone that features excellent build quality, very good sound for Bluetooth and touch-sensitive controls. It also folds flat to fit in a nice carrying case that's travel-friendly.

It's fairly expensive at $250; it doesn't sound quite as good or fit as comfortably as the Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth.

Harman Kardon's well-built and compact Soho Wireless is a solid on-ear Bluetooth headphone that doesn't quite surpass competing models from Bose and Beats.

Harman Kardon Soho Wireless review

The Soho Wireless' sound is more heavy than potent, leaving something to be desired at both extremes of the spectrum

Harman Kardon’s new Soho Wireless headphones are rich with innovation and style, but it all comes to a halt when you crank up the heavier tunes. There’s a solid design here that hints at greatness, but the sound is simply lacking. The bottom line is,...

Harman Kardon Soho Wireless

These sexy, super-portable lightweight headphones have excellent touch controls, but they'll disappoint audio aficionados.

Lightweight and portable ; Nice touch controls ; Cool design

Poor battery life ; Not super comfortable ; Audio lacks detail

These very pretty headphones don't sound as beautiful as they look.

Harman Kardon Soho Wireless

Harman Kardon's Soho Wireless headphones deliver rich, powerful Bluetooth audio performance in a stunning design.

Powerful audio performance with boosted, rich lows and crisp highs. Handsome design with leather, stainless steel, and swipe-based control pad on right ear. Can used in wired, passive mode.

Frustrating, swipe-based control pad is not always responsive to touch.

If you're looking for a crisper, but still bass-boosted, sound signature, the AKG K845 BT is a solid Bluetooth pair that offers just that. The Beats Studio Wireless is on the opposite end of the spectrum, offering booming lows that go beyond the Soho...

Harman Kardon Soho Wireless ( Brown)

Well, in the conversion to wireless, Harman has made some small but significant design improvements, including moving from cloth covers for the earpads to leather ones. You also get a much better new soft carrying case -- the headphones fold flat into...

Harman Kardon Soho Wireless Headphones Review

When Harman Kardon debuted the first generation Soho headphones last year, we were impressed with their unique square ear cups, lux looks, and how small they were on my head. What we weren't so impressed with however, was how uncomfortable they were....

Lux design that features leather and chrome finishes. Attractive design for both men and women. Significant improvements on comfort. Neat touch controls

Could be pricey for some. Touch controls is a little cumbersome at first. There is some sound leakage at high volumes
