Small is partially beautiful
Small, light and comfortable ; Impressive specification ; Even, balanced sound
Not all that dynamic or expressive a listen ; Active noise-cancellation is nothing special
There are worse things to be than ‘polite’ – but where music’s concerned, there are better things too

The Jabra Elite 5 offers excellent sound quality for both calls and music playback, with strong ANC performance
Superb sound quality for both audio listening and calls ; Excellent ANC performance ; Intuitive controls (physical button!) ; Smart assistant and Spotify Tap functionality ; IP55 sweat and water-resistant
Adjustable ANC feels pointless
It's hard to find anything to criticise about the Jabra Elite 5, as these true wireless headphones have superb sound quality for both audio listening and calls. The hybrid ANC is pretty darn good, albeit ANC customisation is less useful than it sounds....

They're comfortable and capable - but is that enough for the Jabra Elite 5 to make a splash amongst tough competition?
Energetic yet detailed sound signature ; Decent battery life and convenient wireless charging ; Extensive in-app customisation
ANC could be stronger ; Adds to an already bulging earphone range
Fitness-friendly true wireless in-ears with decent (if not class-leading) ANC and solid sound, but the Elite 5 feels a little lost in Jabra’s extensive line-up.

If you don't want to spend big on wireless headphones, then the Jabra Elite 5 could catch your eye. It boasts some great features on paper, such as wireless charging and support for the Amazon Alexa voice assistant. However, these wireless earbuds will...

We went searching for problems with the Jabra Elite 5 and simply couldn't find any. For $150, they're as close to a no-brainer purchase as you're likely to get.
Small and comfy Very good sound quality Very good ANC/transparency Custom controls and EQ Hands-free voice assistants Excellent call quality Very good battery life
Not the best sound for this price
“For their price, they offer an unbeatable set of features.”

Jabra's true wireless Elite 5 earphones sit comfortably in the middle of the company's lineup with good sound quality and effective noise cancellation, though they don't quite stand out.

Another quality mid-ranger with disappointing noise cancellation
Great audio quality ; Compact and chic ; Lots of customization via Jabra Sound+ app ; Robust connectivity ; HearThrough is still one of the best transparency modes
ANC not as good as other Elite models ; Digital assistant and wear detection need work ; Button design affects comfort ; Missing some high-end Jabra features
Great sound, connectivity, and features provide the Jabra Elite 5 strong selling points, but its weak ANC is concerning for the price.

Jabra focused on the total package with its Elite 5 earbuds, balancing a wide range of features with solid audio quality.
Outstanding user interface ; Physical buttons on earbuds are a pleasure to use ; ANC is effective without going overboard
Good but not great sound quality
Jabra’s affordable, smartly designed, and feature-packed Elite 5 ANC earbuds will appeal to a wide range of casual listeners, but audiophiles purely interested in the best sound should look elsewhere.

Jabra continues to fill out its lineup of compelling earbuds. After a week with the Jabra Elite 5, I've found my new favorite.
Extremely comfortable and secure fit ; Reliable big physical buttons ; Long battery life ; Wireless charging case ; Solid call quality ; aptX support
ANC is very subtle
The Jabra Elite 7 Pro received a software update to address a couple of the issues I had before with that model and I also see the price for them is currently down to $129.99, a $70 reduction. The Elite 7 Pro fit a bit differently than the Elite 5 and...
