Acer unleashes a contender for one of the best products of the year.
Great battery life ; Multiple finishes ; Great value
Poor viewing angles ; Shallow keyboard ; No Bluetooth
If you're after laptop level performance with netbook levels of battery life, look no further than the 1810TZ. We hope others will follow the example, but in the meantime this is the CULV laptop we'd buy.

Stunning mobility and a stylish design make for a fantastic CULV portable
Good battery life ; Decent performance ; Connectivity ; Good storage
No Bluetooth ; Screen could offer more colour and contrast
A well built and well performing laptop that is good for the mobile worker and general internet addict alike

We've heard nothing but good things about Acer's Aspire 1810T recently, but is this tiny CULV laptop really as good as it appears? First off, it's affordable, with a price that's in-keeping with the current crop of high-end netbooks. After living with...
Excellent keyboard, vivid and sharp screen, amazing battery life, budget price
No optical drive, glossy lid scratches easily
After living with the Acer Aspire 1810T for the past couple of weeks, it's apparent that this budget laptop does indeed live up to the hype. Battery life is outstanding, and the large keyboard also provides usability on par with much bigger machines....

A netbook-sized computer with notebook performance Although itâs small enough to qualify as a netbook, the Acer Aspire 1810TZ is better described as a small, portable laptop rather than a ...

Today we start out with a fresh review of the Acer T1810 to go with your morning coffee. Acer is focusing a lot on the market for smaller mobile laptops these days, and this model is no exception. The Timeline series may not be categorized as netbooks,...

Hot at left side ; Unoriginal design
Acer almost always makes sleek products. With the Aspire Timeline 1810TZ, they have made a mobile device for the travelling businessman or student. The price suggests it is mostly for businessmen, but it still falls below £450 and considering what you...

A cute, very portable notebook that offers netbook-beating performance for only slightly more money.
In use, the 1810TZ performed reasonably well. It's no powerhouse, but it feels nippier than a netbook. It had no trouble giving us a full-screen run through the blast-fest that is Quake Live, so while the GMA 4500MHD wouldn't be the hardcore gamer's...

With a 1.4GHz Intel SU3500 chip, up to 4GB of memory and a 1366 x 768 display, Acer's 11.6-inch Timeline 1810T threatens to bridge the usability gap between n...

Long life Acer has had great success with the slim, light noteboo
Extremely long battery life; Pleasant keyboard; Smart design; Good screen
which unfortunately is also reflective; Tendency to overheat when the processor is overworked; Poorly positioned speakers; Takes a long time to recharge
Competition comes mainly from the hordes of netbooks that are currently offered by Acer, Asus and so on.

A fine specification at a keen price, but the keyboard on the Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T disappoints
Expert review by : Tim Higgins (smallnetbuilder.com)
Some might say that Acer's Timeline 1810T isn't a netbook. But who cares when you get so much for $600?
Very nice keyboard ; Longest battery life I've seen ; Peppy performance
Touchpad a bit too small ; Fan runs a lot; can get noisy when plugged in
Nicely put together netbook with 11.6" screen, spacious keyboard and 6+ hour battery life
