Chrome OS comes to the big screen
Absolutely radiant display ; Woven, textured finish ; All-day battery life
Sudden crashes ; Tinny but serviceable speakers
The Acer Chromebook 15 asks if you need a big machine to just run a Chrome browser. and I say 'oh, yes.'

The Acer Chromebook 15 is the perfect example of how Chromebooks have progressed over recent years. No longer does the word 'Chromebook' dictate an ultra-budget
The Acer Chromebook 15 might be large, but it's certainly in charge. As an almost-portable desktop replacement proposition, the combination of its decent screen, stacks of ports, and premium design ensure it'll be a king of productivity.

Acer has continued its push into the world of Chromebook with yet another model, this time a rather large 15.6-inch offering for those that want to enjoy

For however you might feel about Google's Chrome OS and Chromebooks, there's no denying that they are popular alternatives to Windows and Mac computers mainly because they're inexpensive, relatively secure and what can be done within the confines of...
The Acer Chromebook 15 is available with an excellent 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display at a budget-friendly price. Battery life is very good as is performance from the fifth-gen Intel Celeron processor.
Larger size and weight make it a little less travel-friendly than other Chromebooks. The white casing gets dirty easily and it's not the most attractive Chromebook we've laid eyes on.
If your one gripe about Chromebooks is the small screen sizes, the Acer Chromebook 15 is the solution and it's a very nice solution at that.

The largest Chromebook we've ever tested, the Acer Chromebook 15 CB5-571 brings a body and screen to a sector of the market dominated by ultra-compact devices. Is that change enough to help this Chromebook stand out? Is it a change that even works?...

This laptop's big aspirations are undermined by software bugs and weak hardware.

Acer's Chromebook 15 is the largest Chromebook yet, but this 15-inch, Web-connected laptop doesn't offer much else to distinguish it from the pack.
Large, 15.6-inch display with full HD resolution. Full-size keyboard and touchpad. High-quality sound. Long battery life in testing.
Sparse port selection.
Conclusion The Acer Chromebook 15 (CB5-571-C09S) may be the largest model ever, but when you boil it down, that's really all it has to offer. Otherwise, it offers a standard Chromebook experience, just with a larger display and chassis. If you've been...

Acer's Chromebook 15 has a sweet 15.6-inch full HD screen -- a first for the category -- but keeps a budget-friendly price tag.
