Solid performance and excellent battery life make this a winner for students
Excellent, if a little dark, Full HD display ; Above your average Chromebook for performance ; Decent battery life ; A better value buy than most Chromebooks
Unlit keyboard flexes in the middle and feels cheap ; Only really good for writing, email, Netflix, iPlayer
Bringing a good Full HD screen and solid performance to the table, along with decent battery life, the Acer Chromebook R13 will happily suffice for students and those needing a device for basic day to day tasks.

The R is for Really long battery life
Excellent battery life ; Competitive hardware specs
Unimpressive performance ; Shell flexes too easily
The Acer Chromebook R 13 will get you through the day on a single charge with its excellent battery life, but it’s no performance powerhouse – even compared to rivaling Chromebooks.

The Acer Chromebook R13 is a little expensive for a Chromebook, starting at $400 (converts to about £320, AU$525), but it's perfectly priced for all the features it offers.
The Acer Chromebook R13 has a long-lasting battery and a variety of ports. Its 360-degree hinge allows it to be used as a tablet.
It's heavy. The Chrome OS is limited in what it can do. Its keyboard isn't backlit.
The Acer Chromebook R13 is a capable Chromebook that won't break the bank, but if your needs are simple there are many other, more affordable laptops worth scoping out.

The Acer Chromebook R 13 is an unusual proposition. It packs in more storage space than most similar laptops, but costs quite a lot more, too. We like Chromebooks that are portable and have lengthy battery staying power - we've taken a look at the Acer...

A premium 2-in-1 Chromebook with some superb standout features
Impressive battery life; Aluminium encased design; ChromeOS works beautifully with 2-in-1s; Decent keyboard and trackpad; Android support
No support for Windows apps; Fairly heavy; No keyboard backlighting

The Acer Chromebook R13 is a bit more expensive than other Chromebooks, but that's because it's a 2-in-1 hybrid with a long-lasting battery.

It may cost more than other chromebooks, but the Acer Chromebook R 13 (CB5-312T-K5X4) has a full HD screen, a convertible 2-in-1 form factor, and other features to help justify its price.
Metal body construction. Convertible hinge. Full HD screen. Long battery life. 4GB of memory.
Single USB-C port. Reflective, glossy screen. Non-backlit keyboard.
The MediaTek MT8173C powering the Chromebook R 13 is an ARM processor made for tablets and consumer electronics devices like the latest Amazon Fire TV Stick. It is fanless, and will be positioned well when Android app support for Chrome OS officially...

Acer has added to their stable of Chromebooks with the Acer Chromebook R13. This full review will take a look at this 13.3" touchscreen Chromebook.
The design is really sleek and nice. The screen is clear and colors are close to being accurate. Pricing options are great for someone who may not want to spend x amount of money on something more.
When the volume is under around 30% you can't hear anything playing.
Chromebooks are for those that don’t really want much in a laptop and want it on a budget and the Acer Chromebook R13 does just that. For a starting price of $399.99 with great specs, you really can’t go wrong with putting this Chromebook on your list....

I am thoroughly enjoying the Chromebook.
None that I am aware of at the present.
