The Acer Nitro 17 is a great budget gaming laptop option
Great current-gen specs ; Solid large display ; Excellent port selection ; Very budget friendly
Very heavy ; Mostly bland aesthetic
The Acer Nitro 17 is a refresh of Acer's budget-minded gaming laptops with updated specs and a keyboard featuring the brand new Microsoft Copilot key. Though its design is pretty basic, the RGB-lit keyboard gives it an aesthetically pleasing look,...

The Nitro 17 delivers value with a screen-to-price ratio that's tough to beat
Huge display ; Great audio quality ; Smooth gaming performance ; Budget-friendly price
Bulky ; Plastic chassis ; No right-hand control key ; Grainy webcam
The Acer Nitro 17 delivers pro performance at a budget-friendly price, making it a top-value pick for gamers. It might not be as portable as some of its rivals, but the 17.3-inch display is deeply immersive.

We can conclude that the Nitro 17 (AN17-42) is one of the best gaming devices in its class. The main reason for that is the great “Performance” mode which offers a lower fan noise and the same CPU clocks and GPU TGP compared to the “Turbo” presets....
Good overall performance for the class ; PWM-free (CSW1704) ; 165Hz refresh rate + wide viewing angles (CSW1704) ; 1440p resolution and 98% sRGB coverage (CSW1704) ; Very good color accuracy when our “Design and Office Work” profile is applied...
1x USB 2.o port ; High noise in “Turbo” mode
