A tiny gaming notebook with a mighty screen. Is this the ultimate portable powerhouse?
Impressively slim and light ; Huge gaming power ; Innovative, fast storage ; Powerful Core i7 processor ; Great screen quality
Inconsistent build quality ; Hot, loud cooling hardware ; Screen resolution is too high ; Expensive
The speakers aren’t as loud as the booming Alienware, but quality is surprisingly good: the high-end is rich, and the mid-range and low-end are both meaty and deep. There’s perhaps a little too much of that low-end sound here, but we’d use these for...

A fine compact gaming laptop
Lightweight ; Impressive benchmarks ; Macro buttons ; Overclockable from the box ; Quiet
A little pricey ; Slightly thick ; Difficult to get hold of
A genuinely portable gaming laptop that performs above and beyond its nearest rivals.

A gaming laptop that isn't big and bulky? Whatever next!
Tough slimline chassis ; Impressive performance ; Great high-resolution screen ; Good connectivity and fast storage
Noisy at full-tilt ; Poor battery life
Serious gaming power in a sleeker-than-normal package

Under the brand name Aorus, there are two laptops available from the Taiwanese motherboard brand – the 17.3-inch Aorus X7 which we reviewed recently, and the smaller 13.3 or 14-inch X3.
The Aorus X3 Plus works well as a portable games station, providing fast framerates with modern games at high details settings. Its high-resolution screen is less obviously useful for its gaming role as fewer games may benefit from its high 262 ppi...

This is a fast and powerful Gaming Notebook yes the screen is not huge but it does display a huge screen resolution. When I first saw it I could not believe the clarity and sharpness which of course along with sound quality is what gamers demand.
This is the first notebook – of any size that I have seen – that has natively displayed 3200x1800. It is 32.5x23x2cm and the screen is 31x17.5cm. On first startup after entering the normal Windows required information a screen opens on the Desktop with...

Small screamer. The Aorus X3 Plus v7 brings a lot of power in a tiny package. While the internals are impressive, thermals and noise present problems. Emissions aside, the X3 Plus v7 is a capable and portable gaming notebook.
great design ; premium materials ; high performance ; small and lightweight ; excellent screen ; unlocked CPU and GPU
loud and annoying fans ; runs hot ; CPU throttles under load ; draws too much power for PSU under load ; frustrating touchpad
The X3 Plus v7 is an ambitious device. It continues Aorus' push to fit powerful hardware into a compact case. Unfortunately, the X3 tries to have its cake and eat it too, and the end result is a notebook of compromise. While there are some definite...

Gigabyte's Aorus X3 Plus is one of the most interesting gaming ultraportables you could buy right now. Just over $2000 will get you a beastly configuration and a high-quality matte display which should lead to a solid experience in even the latest...
compact and light; looks nice; good screen, keyboard and trackpad; powerful hardware configuration and solid performance in games; fair battery life; proper priced
inconsistent wi-fi performance, some design flaws (weak lid, keyboard flex, etc), poor speakers, some throttling under load

The aesthetics and build quality of the Auros X3 are second to none. The ventilation, full size HDMI output and keyboard to name a few, have all been well designed, offering a real premium feel and experience. I love the location of the power input at...
As we would all expect with a gaming laptop of this calibre (and all in general) battery life is nothing short of the usual 2+ hours when gaming. General use web browsing etc.. you could probably push 5+. With NVIDIA's Battery Boost you can get more...

The laptop is stunning!!! it handles everything I throw at it - virtual machines/games and even gaming on the oculus rift and a 4k monitor.
