MacBook Air 2020: Apple's latest mid-priced laptop could be the last Intel MacBook Air before the big Apple Silicon switch. Should you buy now or wait?
New keyboard is a huge improvement; The most affordable Mac;Design still holds up;Great speakers and fast Touch ID
Performance not as good as Windows rivals;Little improvement to battery life;Terrible webcam;Port layout is a bit annoying

The MacBook Air 2020 makes Apple's cheapest laptop even cheaper, and fixes its biggest flaw
Very fast for general use ; Great new keyboard ; Strongeer processor and graphics ; More storage than previous models
Poor webcam ; Dual-core power won't be enough for some ; Battery life is pretty average

The 2020 Air takes what was great about the 2019 model and merely enhances the experience with a new and improved keyboard. Is it the Mac to buy?
Retina display is bright and detailed ; Keyboard is so much better to use ; Storage starts at 256GB (larger capacity also available) ; Sub four-figure price point is key
Still only two USB-C ports ; No SD card slot ; No Face ID login ; Screen bezel is large compared to many Windows alternatives ; Some fan noise - even with the i3 model
The 2020 model takes what was great about its predecessor and enhances it with a much better keyboard, double storage as standard, and a price drop. It's a win-win.

The MacBook Air finally gets the keyboard and pricing it deserves, reclaiming its crown as the best MacBook for most people in 2020. But performance and battery life could be better

Hello, old friend
Superb keyboard ; Cheaper than before ; Great speakers
Battery life is not all-day ; Core i3 model a little underpowered ; Webcam is only 720p
With a cheaper entry price and an improved keyboard, the only thing against the excellence of the 2020 MacBook Air is its less-than-full-day battery life. Otherwise it’s the go-to laptop we’d recommend to most people

With the iPad Air's most recent redesign, Apple has delivered the best bang-for-buck tablet money can buy
Beautiful design ; Crisp display ; Impressive battery life ; Notebook-beating performance ; Compatible with peripherals for professionals ; Great value
No 120Hz display ; Slower and less colour accurate than the iPad Pro ; Only one RAM configuration ; Lacking adequate support for external displays

Apple's latest MacBook Air delivers (almost) everything we could have hoped for
Superb keyboard ; Brilliant display ; Great performance ; High-end design
Terrible webcam ; Average battery life ; Expensive

This is it. This is the MacBook Air you've been waiting for.
Good performance ; Great battery life ; Excellent keyboard, large trackpad ; Great speakers ; Class-leading build quality ; USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports ; More storage as standard
No support for Wi-Fi 6 ; Display could be brighter ; Not the thinnest, lightest notebook around
Expert review by : Andrew E. Freedman (tomshardware.co.uk)
The new Apple MacBook Air hias an excellent keyboard and great speakers, but isn't as powerful as Windows rivals.
Excellent keyboard ; Strong build quality ; 16:10 display ; Chic design ; Detailed top-firing speakers ; Long battery life
Limited ports ; Lackluster webcam ; Not as powerful as comparably priced Windows rivals
Apple’s MacBook is a return to form as a chic, premium laptop for everyday use with great speakers and an excellent set of speakers, though it falls behind Windows PCs in performance.
