The G759JZ makes a good impression right from the start. The 17-inch machine may be big and bulky, weighing in at a hefty 4.5 kg and measuring a mighty 58 mm thick. But the build quality is excellent. The matt-black chassis has an attractive...
It's expensive, but the Asus G750JZ delivers the goods for gaming performance. You can find similar performance at a lower price, but features such as its Blu-ray drive, 2.1 speakers, and Thunderbolt interface mean that the G750JZ is also well-equipped...

While much of the public discourse about laptops and mobile PCs is taken up with ultrabooks, hybrids, and other ever-slimmer devices, there's still room for the traditional 17-inch gaming desktop replacement.
The Asus G750 is one of the first laptops with Nvidia's new top-end GeForce GTX 880M graphics cards. The hefty keyboard is great for WASD gaming, and a generous selection of ports makes it easy to add accessories or external monitors.
For a $3,000 laptop, this still looks like a thick, clunky box. The screen skips the higher resolution and touch functionality we're seeing more often in premium laptops.
The Asus line of gaming laptops has always offered excellent high-end configurations, along with custom software and hardware tweaks. This latest version of the G750 bets on Nvidia's brand-new line of GPUs, and includes the current top-end card for...

Powerful CPU (with Iris Pro 5200 GPU).
Lower-cost GTX 970M outperforms GTX 880M and uses less power.
An all-round powerhouse with plenty of gaming and productivity performance on tap.

An absolute monster of a gaming laptop, but let down by a lacklustre screen
For the most part, we were extremely impressed with the Asus ROG G750JZ. It’s by no means cheap, but it sports some of the finest mobile components money can buy, and for considerably less than similarly specified machines from rival brands such as...

The Asus ROG G750JZ-XS72 delivers high-end gaming performance, and it comes at a high-end price.
Quality construction. Intel Core i7 quad-core processor and latest Nvidia graphics. Lots of storage with 1TB hard drive and two SSDs. 32GB of RAM. Integrated subwoofer with sound optimization software. Excellent selection of ports and features. Long...
Overly sensitive touchpad. No custom backlight color. Limited portability.
You get a ton of storage space, with two 256GB solid-state drives (SSDs) in RAID 0, and a 1TB hard drive. This edges this past the likes of the Digital Storm Krypton, which offers only a 250GB SSD and a 750GB, 7,200rpm hard drive, but it also...

Asus takes Nvidia's top-end GTX 880M GPU out for a spin in a massive $3K gaming laptop.

It cuts a lot of corners for sure, but the VigoBook G7 offers the borderline minimum for basic tasks, video streaming, and web browsing without being unbearably slow. This laptop was designed for users who are satisfied with Core i3-level of...
decent keyboard and clickpad;integrated MicroSD reader;decent battery life;quiet fan noise;easy to service
limited colors with poor color accuracy;very weak integrated speakers;short AC adapter power cord;no webcam privacy shutter;processor underperforms
This laptop was designed for users who are satisfied with Core i3-level of performance. The Ryzen 7 5700U is severely underclocked on the VigoBook G7 and the sluggishness is a bit noticeable when opening common applications like browsers or Office....

If you've got the money (and a hunger for PC games), Asus has your fix.
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
The combination of a very powerful CPU and GPU makes this run even the most demanding games on very high and ultra high.
The vertical viewing angle of the screen is not that great
