The K55VD is one of the cheapest Ivy Bridge laptops we've seen, and can be found for under £550 if you shop around online. The Core i5-3210M processor is nippy, although the benchmark score of 132 in our WorldBench 6 suite is a little lower than we'd...
It isn't the prettiest, but Asus' K55VD delivers surprisingly good performance for your money. The touchpad takes some getting used to, but as with the smallish 500GB hard disk, these foibles aren't deal-breakers.

Decent specs and performance. Clickpad aside, good build quality and design for the price segment.
No Bluetooth. Clickpad was loose and clacky on our review sample. GeForce GT 610M is underpowered enough that you may as well just run Intel. Ordinary battery life.
The K55VD gives decent performance for the price, but the clickpad and battery life are left wanting.

- Quick boot-up - Runs multiple programs easily
- Only a minor issue, charging cable not the longest.
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
It is a responsive laptop, quick to boot, quick to sleep. It's rapid and the multi-touch keypad is quite a nifty addition, ASWELL as useful.overall it's an extremely good laptop, for gaming it's not bad but wouldn't recommend ultra settings if you play...
Battery is so bad for it, if battery was better it would be a top laptop. Also sometimes movies stick when being played. But a minor flaw to an excellent laptop

Stylish design, great functionality and lots of bang for your bucks.
Comes with windows 8. Another I'll conceived piece of junk from Microsoft. It took the best part of three days to get it set up to the point where it was usable, including a six hour session on line with tech support team to find out why it wouldn't...
