ASUS U36SD-A1 Notebook Review; Ultra Portable & Affordable

No one wants to be carting around a five pound brick with them to class, onto a plane or to a meeting but before the advent of low voltage, high

We'll freely admit to sometimes beating around the bush with these conclusions but ASUS has made this one easy for us. The U36SD fits

Asus U36SD-A1

Although the Asus U36SD-A1ultraportable laptop is extremely powerful and lasted extraordinarily long on a single battery, its heat issues are problematic.

Sturdy magnesium frame. Fast Core i5 processor. Nvidia graphics provides gaming boost. USB 3.0 port on board. Excellent battery life.

Heat issues when running moderately intensive tasks. Noisy mouse buttons. Lacks cutting edge wireless features and backlit keyboard.

Review Asus U36SD-RX114V (SSD) Subnotebook

Slim and sexy. Though it's not the manufacturer's ultrabook, it convinces with its slim silhouette, its velvety yet hard aluminum case, its battery life and, above all, its swiftness via SSD.

High-quality workmanship, Firm, stable case, Pleasant surfaces, Keyboard with good feedback, High application performance, Entry level gaming performance, Good SSD speeds, Long battery life, Slim design, The stylish, solid case is an eye-catcher and...

Reflective, contrast weak TFT, Webcam with only 0.3 MP, A matt and bright screen would have made the U36SD to an extremely attractive outdoor companion

ASUS U36SD-XA1 Notebook Review: The Battery That Never Dies

Ultrabooks are now on store shelves, but that doesn't mean the more traditional ultraportables are dead - not by a long shot. Thin may be cool, but the high price premium attached to ultrabooks means that they will, at least for now, be a niche...

Asus U36SD / U36S review – what an ultra-portable notebook!

A while ago I got to test Asus's ultra-sleek 13.3 inch laptop, the U36JC. There were many things I liked about it, but the fact that it boosted older generation hardware kept me from recommending it while...

solid body, high quality materials used for the casing and proper attention to details ; sleek looks, with a very thin body ; overall good keyboard an trackpad ; powerful hardware and proper performances ; good connectivity options, with USB 3.0 slot...

the screen and the bezel around it are glossy ; speakers won't impress ; gets hot and noisy under stress (the review unit did at least) – not that much during light everyday use

We’ve reached the end of this reviews and it’s time for some conclusions. As you saw, there are plenty of aspects where the U36SD manages to impress: body, looks, performances, battery life. Screen and keyboard/trackpad are good as well, but there's...

Asus U36SD-A1

The Asus U36SD-A1 ultraportable laptop is extremely portable yet compares in performance with most mid-line notebook computers, which is due to its Intel Core i5 CPU and discrete Nvidia graphics. It also has USB 3.0 support and a solid magnesium frame,...

Asus U36SD-RX235X Ultrabook

Amazing value laptop that's increadibly powerful, lightweight, beautifully designed, and also has amazing battery life... If you wanted the same features in a Sony Vaio you'd be paying twice the price!

Supplied fingerprint isn't great, i've replaced it with the latest one from upek and it performs massively better.
