At just £329, can the ASUS X550CA-XO113H Laptop challenge its more expensive rivals?
Incredible value ; Impressively quiet and cool ; Decent touchpad and keyboard
Feels cheap ; Slow Celeron processor ; Unimpressive screen

The X550LDV wasn't listed on the company's site at the time of this review, but is one of the first to step up to the newer Haswell processor line. It's a little more expensive than some of its predecessors at £599, but the X550LDV provides very solid...
The dull screen is a bit of a let-down, but the X550LDV does provide better performance than most laptops in the sub-£600 category. It's not the most portable of laptops either, but respectable battery life ensures that the X550LDV makes a good desktop...

Non-touchscreen multimedia. The Asus X550LB is a 15.6-inch gaming-capable notebook designed for everyday multitasking. A Haswell-generation CPU and GeForce GPU are paired up with a non-touch, standard HD-resolution display. How well the combo works is...
Good overall performance, Dedicated GeForce GPU, Stays very cool, Touchpad works very well, Non-slip texture doesn't show fingerprints, Decent speakers, The dedicated GPU offers decent gaming performance
Glossy display should be brighter for outdoor use, Color accuracy not great, Only HD resolution, Battery life could be better, Keyboard rattles, A brighter display with better color accuracy; FullHD resolution would also be nice

Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Nice laptop, good design with accurate touch screen. Upgraded to Windows 10 straight away which makes it even better. Good price for the spec as well. I have now bought 3 for colleagues and for work.
No Ethernet connection, Wi-Fi only.
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Performs well and is neat in design
Would have appreciated a LAN connection rather than rely on WiFi
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Transforming ability. Fast :)
